So, this might be a Gamaplay suggestion just as much as it is balance.
Suggestion is ONE of the two to be introduced to USF tank crews when disembarking.
A 15 second action when getting in or out of a tank, so it cant be spammed.
Or when the crew is out, the vehicle remains red (enemy) and cannot be crewed/captured for 10 seconds after.
Balance reasons: Main reason for this isnt to stop or stall repairs, its the fact that a USF tank charge can de-crew its low health tanks to prevent the enemy from autofiring at them. Sure you can attack ground, but its one hell of an extra micro thing to have to do while intensely manoeuvring your tanks (usually backwards in a Jackson charge with the new Ammo) and to attack ground fire a decrewed tank could easily cost you a tank, not to mention the second the crew 'teleport' out of their tank, could be as your tank fires, meaning it shoots something else and wastes a shot. So the balance reason is kinda that, it messes up enemy fire, and puts a much higher tax on their need to micro than yours from hitting a simple "teleport outside" button.
Ive seen it done, and done it alot myself, "Oh no my tank is 10% hp, quick use the targeting jamming phase shields!".
So either a slower de-crew so it cant be used as an offensive tactic to preserve tanks and waste enemy shots, OR the vehicle remains owned by the player when empty, so shots would automatically still target it, do not put an insane tax on micro while having to worry about the rest of the tanks charging or infatry etc.
Realistic reasons... I mean these are secondary in a game, but would make sense,
- A crew cannont teleport out of a tank... Its not startrek.
- A Axis tank wouldn't suddenly not fire at the big scary easy 8 in front of it, and shoot something else randomly, it would finish the shot.

Good to know, I've had a feeling it's the Cavalry Riflemen that are causing the bug (not just to fausts, I've had Panzergrens do 0 damage to WC-51 with STG44s but damage the CavRifles inside) rather than the WC-51 itself.
Good to know, Might test it in a custom game with a friend and find out exactly whats causing it, although the Cav Rifles would make more sense as the cause of the bug. |

While i do think the Jeep needs a rethink/balance with CP cost/arrival time.
I mainly just want my only early game counter against it, to work.
With the squad been the primary target once inside it, it also makes things like AT guns/raketen wefers much less likely to hit, as it gives the model a lower target size. |
Can we fix the USF Jeep yet?
8 Fausts fired at it and no hits because its bugged and targeting the squad inside. Literally game breaking since it just allowed it to run down 4 squads and a sniper. The damn thing was even stationary for 2 of the fausts. |
Well Brits also get their HMG at T0.
All this is, is a flavour choice. if you want to move the HMG into the barracks, fine, but move the grens into T0, which would probably be a buff for them. So go ahead. |

This ability takes ages to start firing and needs LOS.
theres loads of allied call-ins that hit harder and faster for cheaper.

So why doesnt everyone play Mow2?
Its more balanced than Coh2 (because you know... the devs actually listen to the players)
Its more skill based than Coh2. (less random RNG bs, or faction bias).
and finally its more fun than Coh2.
Im a passionate gamer, i rage at alot of games, many of them fps games. But im bloody good at them.
Ive never raged at a game or got so....well angry at a game, as i have COH2 and that says alot when ive been through the ENTIRE battlefield, Halo, Coh1, DoW, C&C, DOOM, Rainbow, Warcraft3 and COD series where dont get me wrong, the BS was abundant.
Because the skill base is not there. Theres nothing more frustrating than losing at a game when it wasnt your fault but the shitty game mechanics.
Ive been playing Mow2 for only a short while now, and not gonna lie, ive totally converted. In fact after playing MoW2 only for two weeks, i cant even begin to fathom why anyone would still play Coh2. MOW2 has an RNG basis like Coh2, but heres the crux... ITS BALANCED, REALISTIC (something Coh2 falsely claims) and FUN, If i lose i know it was my fault. Yeah sure theres RNG, but the amount of micro it takes and balance on both sides... just totally levels the field. Coh2 is in every way an incompetent game and a disgrace after this amount of time, to be so imbalanced.
I only wish the makers of MOW2 were making DOW3... -.-
And while this may seem like a rage post... its not... its a plea to fellow gamers...
For your money...
Expect and demand... Better.
Or watch the DOW franchise die like this one is doing. |
It is really good, it has its balance issues, some countries are just wayyyy too powerful in the late game (Prussia and Ukraine).
But it is well worth a try, and the game makers are really on the ball with patching and fixing things...
