It used to give armour bonuses a while ago. Then they redesigned it since no one was using it to be more useful - hence why the range increase can ensure that these tanks will 1v1 most other tanks. The panther (which benefits most) will just outrange an SU85 or M36 Jackson with this ability and will comfortable beat 1 in a 1v1. |
LMGs when im infantry doctrine (75% of the time). Otherwise, usually early BARs to keep up with infantry scaling. Zooks if i think they're going to rush something and my teammates look like they'll have no anti tank. |
new american and OKW commanders are definitely their first thing. I think that they may also be bundled with some other stuff though, maybe TOW missions/skirmishes etc. |
Ostheer commanders are likely experimental ones from an alpha or beta a while ago but never got released (just like the not one step back commander). Relic tests out a bunch of new stuff privately. I wouldn't speculate on any new commander unless they announce them since like not one step back, it might take over a year to actually be implemented in the game (or it might not be implemented at all). |
it's fantastic. Much better game. New factions add lots more variety to the game. |
You either push to destroy the truck, or you do not attack the medic truck at all. Remember the medic truck is 200mp / 20 or 30 fuel. Killing 1 volks squad is worth more than that. Focus on killing enemy units rather than the medic truck. If you absolutely want to, you can also target the medics on the truck by right clicking on them. They'll be gone for a while after you kill them. |
Seems solid. the only thing you might struggle with is if the enemy gets a lot of armour before you get your PIVs. The other thing is that it looks that between the time you get your last Volks squad out and your first Obersoldaten squad out, the enemy will be overpowering your infantry (hopefully for that tide to be turned by the obersoldaten). That's why i don't like building effectively 2 buildings in a row. I'd personally throw some Panzerfuiseliers or Falls in between there somewhere depending on the situation. No strategy is without its weaknesses though so i must say well done for this one. |
That point where you have retreated all your infantry due to them rolling over you is the point where you need to use it. You need to seriously push while using this ability.
The ability works amazingly with conscripts + shock troops, basically any infantry. However, support weapon's don't get as much benefit naturally from it. It's also better in games where they have less HMG's, i'd imagine against OKW it would be better than vs ostheer for that reason. |
Blizzards were good on some maps. If they were less frequent then they'd be more welcomed. For example Faceoff at Rostov has a very low frequency, you'll come across 2 or 3 blizzards in a medium-long game. When blizzards came every 8 minutes it was annoying. |
You're really doing a conscript strat there. If you go 4 cons you'll want molotovs or AT grenades or both first. Then you can sometimes even just build T2, 1 maxim then go T3/T4 depending on your fuel situation.
In team games try to complement your teammates strategy - when paired with a US player going T2 straight away and getting MGs/mortars will assist since a US player struggles to field those. |
