A little something I've been working on

I've been working on a build order for the last few weeks using the Elite Armoured Doctrine. It goes:

Kubel("my Baby")
Volks
Volks
Volks
Battle Group HeadQuarters
75mm infantry support gun
Schwerer Panzer Headquarters
Raketenwerfer 43 Anti-Tank Rocket Launcher
Obersoldaten
Obersoldaten
Call in two Panzer Aus. J or Panther

The Kubel escorts my Sturmpioneer Squad capping their fuel and other points on their side of the map. Kubel attacks first to supress then the squad runs in and forces retreat or, if the opponent wasn't expecting me, wipe out the squad.

The Volks capture points avoiding any 1v1 combat. I try to keep them close on the map to support each other. No 'nades, just Panzerschrecks. Later to be supported by the 75mm. I use "Signal Relay" to find the armour and catch it by surprise.

Set up the Schwerer Panzer Headquarters deny territory as far forward as I can. Support it with a Rakenwerfer when a tank comes to smash it up.

Multiple Obersoldaten in cover supported by the 75mm are effective at hurting expensive infantry.

Two Panzer Aus J. Most cost effective Armour or a Panther.

It's more about draining their MP in your engagements and keeping your stuff alive. If MGs are bad a second 75MM helps.

Thoughts? Feelings?

Vs which faction though?

EDIT: Actually never mind, I pretty much have the same BO and it works fine vs both USF and Soviets. I do throw in slight variations here and there though, getting a Luchs if I don't expect very heavy tanks in the near future. Puppchens supported with Schrecks seem to do a great job dealing with T34s/Shermans. Eventually I get a Panther (don't have Elite Armor), to have more of an offensive mode of AT.

@RiflesReady, I use the same against both factions.

I want to like the Luchs. I can't justify spending any fuel for anything that doesn't have AT.

I try to Keep my Volks tight in the smaller maps. so tanks don't see them coming. Ie. srubs Blocking LOS.

The 75mm Le is Key. I move it up to the Schwere HQ so it's protected with access to the entire map.

I have been working on a similar strat but using other doctrines.

It has some good potential, especially in team games.
Do you setup the medic truck in base or some nearby cutoff?

Infiltration tactics (5 x cheap grenades with volks for 10 munitions) with special ops doc are also soft counter to soviet mg/mortar spam. Volks + grenades + shreak vet up pretty quick.

Problem with this tech path, that without fast puma its rather weak to soviet snipers/clown cars and early US vehicles.

Against US I think mgs are a must to defend your position until you have a few obers out. I think biggest advantage of using obers rather than falls/fusiliers is they have good dps even if they lose 1-2 models and dont need munitions for G43.

vs soviet I think kubels are to weak.

Seems solid. the only thing you might struggle with is if the enemy gets a lot of armour before you get your PIVs. The other thing is that it looks that between the time you get your last Volks squad out and your first Obersoldaten squad out, the enemy will be overpowering your infantry (hopefully for that tide to be turned by the obersoldaten). That's why i don't like building effectively 2 buildings in a row. I'd personally throw some Panzerfuiseliers or Falls in between there somewhere depending on the situation. No strategy is without its weaknesses though so i must say well done for this one.

For this strat I think Luchs would be good against soviet that like to skip tech to tanks and wait for call in tanks such as Kv8/IS2. If you can force at grenades and/or T34/76 it's worth the 50 fuel as it'll delay soviet tech as well..

Same vs US that skip tech like armor doc or the doc with easy eight shermans.

To help deal with snipers Kubel vet1 ability can detect cloaked snipers on the minimap that you could arty with attack ground or barrage.

I try to ambush the enemy whenever possible.

2v1s. Engaging Volks and running the Sturms up.

When ever they find the Schwere camp wagon they end up losing a lot of manpower.

volks supported by the 75mm Le is usually a good situation, if I notice Blobbing I might get 2. Keep Volks in green cover and the 75mm Le will engage when in range or can barrage. 5 Volks vs 3-4 rifles ends up favorible.

I want to like the Luchs but I find it's not durable enough and by the time it hits the field i'm usually seeing some AT. Any chance I can I will try to knock out and savage an AT gun to keep it off the field.

I tend to keep my volks with schrecks really close. I find 5 hits with usually kill a sherman.

I also scavange at every opertunity.

Most of the time I notice they will commit to destroying the Schwere Flak. It's important to get this close as possible to the action. In range of a vp or major road preferably. After it's found I make sure that the Obers are there and some of my AT. That Flak will easily defeat a Squart or T70. The Flak with a Raketenwerfer and a volks or 2 will punish a sherman.

Would this work with the Scavenge Doctrine? I have no idea how to best use that Doctrine.

Lucky for some who have the doctrine....

Previously I was only using T2-T4... but some people have said to me after games that Pumas are esential Vs USA... but if you go T3, its a major weakness missing out on either obers or medic truck..?

A few games I was struggling to place my Schwere Flak Truck. I was having issues with light vehicles and I bought a jadgpanzer from t2. It was invaluable. It smashed up everything. It needed to stay at range tho.

This strat also works well with fortifications doctrine which can give you Pak 43, mgs, s-mines, bunkers, heavy fortifications and very powerful late game artillery. With doctrine mgs/pak43/S-mines + flak truck/support gun give you decent map control and the pak43 allow you to save up fuel for King Tiger or Stuka (for counter artillery that become a big threat to your defensive position).

Once the King Tiger is out its pretty much gg for the US, especially if they invested to much fuel/manpower into artillery to kill your Pak 43/Flak truck.
Late game after the King Tiger I usually switch to convert fuel into munitions for the doctrine artillery that will kill everything that try to flank your King Tiger.
It's the most powerful defensive doctrine ingame imo, just require some time getting used to.
