First you talk about changing resources, but then suddenly you speak about a complete faction overhaul. First question is are resopurce penalties justified right now with vet 5 being a marginal feature and most of powerful units from release nerfed(these 2 being the reason that okw had penalty) Second question is how would you solve okw situation? Before any adjustments are made to riflemen themselves, Rifle Company needs to be adressed, otherwise USF may get overnerfed, classic Relic way. As many already pointed out, flamers on main line inf are quite retarded. Just replace it with M1919 and push back vet-rifle call-in in CPs so it can be used only for replacing losses. Buffing OST/OKW in response to flamer rifle problem may in turn screw SOV. One fix at a time, I say. Rifle vet is extreme atm.As is tommy vet. In: COH2 Balance

Taking the whole point of this faction as stated by relic - Crippling resource penalties compensated by very powerful units and vet 5.But is this reality anymore? Where are the very powerful units of release - Ober,KT,stuka,sturmoffizer,sturmpio -All toned down or nerfed into relative non-use. 2nd point -Veterancy.Vet4 and 5 -much rare in competitive games except on cheapest volks(which have shit vet bonuses due to nerf).So another marginal feature. They have the highest mid range dps out of all infantry squads in the game except falls, and with double schreck they are the best infantry based AT. Saying that they are "mediocre" is just delusional. They perform exatcly like they should for their price. When u say highest mid range dps do u take into account upgraded allied infantry or just base versions because with 1919 or bars i don't think so. Double shreck is brutally costly and often 1 shootted fragile 4 man squad.Very few people use them in this way except s quad as stopgap or cover for pak. No one is saying their price can't be increased if buffed,But lategame against rifleblob with lmg or brit blob they can't do anything with vaunted dps.1 member loss=25% dps gone.Its just too weak in survivability terms.Lategame pzgrens can't do much vs allied vet infantry with lmgs. Thread: Petition to give OKW a non-doctrinal MG5 Nov 2015, 21:17 PM First and foremost vet requirements on most okw units need 25-33% reduction.Vet 5 is largely cosmetic feature,yet serves to justify okw penalties.I don't really know why OKW still has penalties? Vet 5 marginal feature,all strong units nerfed..so why are there penalties still? Unless the units and vet get buffs,remove the vet 5 feature and penalties and extend the teching structure costs.
