Wait until you realize the old timings for units such as T70, Luchs, Rocket arty (which was in T2 instead of T3) and you will see the scope of the problem.

the community balance patch, just nerf and adjust based on the number of person whine on the internet, instead of understanding how each faction strength & weakness that each faction. only the core dev understood what they are trying to achieve and make it fun.

there is 2 type of brit players
1. IS bren blob and piat blob. usually this kind player cant proceed to plan further than that.
2. sim city player. if his sim city crumbles, proceed to blame everyone else except him and immediately Alt + F4 and eject himself out of COH2 to COH1
the problem is mostly the players not the faction. Brits are a bit wehr and OKW combine. they have OP commander abilities like OKW but it cost more and a lot blobbing |
basicly removing the unique asymmetrical between factions and basicly made clones of each factions just for the sake of E-sport balance.
classic example of changes i dont agree on are soviet sniper and wehr sniper 2014 vs 2019

Modding tools are very important. We know a bunch of games that have gone from being a mod to a standalone game (like Dota), we know that mods sell the game (like the Desert Combat mod for BF1942 sold 3 million copies of BF1942). And I hope Relic fixes the mistake CoH2 didn't provide full modding tools that now could give tons and tons of content over the 8 years of the game's life and CoH2 could be a different game now, with more unique commanders and units.
its a different time. now we have DRM, steam, DLC and server side authentication, those mod tools are extremely limited cos last thing they need is a mod that cut their revenue stream.

for an extra 2 minutes i would rather get a jackson, the timeframe for sherman to shine is incredibly short. That is why i rarely see sherman been build in games.

KV1 should be baseline heavy for the Soviets, instead of giving to DLC commander (counter attack tactics)
Preferable to be researched at Mechanized Armor Kampaneya (tier 4). Lets call the research "Improved logistics" which grants +10 fuel for the soviet player and unlock Tech Tier 4.5 thats KV1 tank.
For the counter attack commander, replace the KV1 tank with call-in KV1 command tank (only 1 available per commander at the sametime). KV1 command tank call-in as a Vet3 KV1 (passive -20% dmg reduction, and 50 vision range) with 3 abilities, "Inspire", "Mark target" & "Coordinate artillery strike".
As for USF, just buff the Sherman HP from 640hp to 800hp, and add armor upgrade tech for Sherman. USF Sherman are already 110 Fuel each with 12 popcap not inclusive of the teching cost and timeframe. Current version of USF is handicap with expensive units with high popcap cost.
Shermans should have "makeshift armor upgrade" which grants them -10% dmg reduction but decrease their speed by 15%.
Anyway, Its a terrible idea to give any USF player the option to build pershing with the current patch status. |

a lot of points i dont agree with the video.
1. live service. early 2000 theres no such thing as live service yet ppl still plays them and its by far some of the best RTS every made. AOE2, Homeworld for example, as long as the RTS was unique and fun or oddly cheesy enough for fans to enjoy. Even to this day, noone has ever achieved anything to the likes of homeworld.
2. mod tools. Its not mandatory for devs. Its an added value down the pipeline (1-2 yrs later) but its not mandatory if your game is fun or even sandbox lite. Supcom for example
3. Author uses most of his experience from starcraft &warcraft as the template of RTS games in general. There are alot of RTS games out there in the market even the early 2000 with unique or realistic simulation that doesnt have to follow the footsteps of blizzard games. This what made RTS popular at the first place. total war, homeworld, battlestations, ground control, sacrifice are just examples of what RTS could be. |
LMG42 upgrade was always good upgrade even since 2012. right now its a no brainer option with no setbacks.
Gren squads get wipe easily if been played recklessly. on top of that, theres a 1/4 chance the LMG42 may be drop for yuri to pickup. then yuri can become a russian terminator. |
