(and Chengele) I'm out of the loop, did I address something you said? |

So, LITERALLY the best CoH2 players IN THE WORLD cannot effectively counter this unit even knowing that it's coming, yet people in this topic say all you need to do to counter it is prepare for its arrival.
Wow, okay.
If you pull the old "buff the rest of the Brits then" argument, then you admit the Centaur is a crutch and therefore should be reworked.
The amount of defending (with irrational and emotional arguments) in this thread is alarming and more worthy of the cesspool that is the official forum balance section. |

I feel comparisons to Su76 only detract from discussing this unit. The 76 might be nerfed or it might not.
Su85 is very good and has awesome veterancy bonuses. It's just its godawful mobility that is the problem, and I am talking without the focused sight penalties.
Also when discussing this unit please discuss its vet1 ability, which is probably the most insulting one in the entire game (compare to the StuG and laugh).
Also keep in mind that this unit now sits at the top of the Soviet tech tree, and is fielded much later than it used to be when every single balancing decision pertaining to it was made. |
Relic cannot rework the entire commanders model any time soon because most of the commanders were PAID FOR and they would have to refund them to the customers which is a legal nightmare.
They can do Custom Commanders in addition to the existing ones, but they can't take the existing ones out of the game, and even reworking them extensively might be too risky (replacing one of the abilities with a similar one is the most they ever did, in addition to balancing/tweaking).
What Relic should do instead of aiming for pro l33t 1v1 esports (nothing against esports, just don't think this is the way for CoH2 to go with its RNG and its abysmal patching), they should focus on co-op and balancing for larger and more popular game-modes. Hell, make an addition of a 5v5 game mode (RIP graphics cards...).
Additional game modes would also be nice.
CoH2 is maturing and it's got a hell of a lot going for it. It would be a shame if they continue the DLC centric stuff because it REALLY gives off a bad image, undeservedly so, in my opinion. |
C'mon Alex, you're making me out to be some sort of a supervillain just because I proposed to use turnabout as fair play.
If people dismiss "unit is simply too effective for role/cost" as an argument, which I've seen multiple times in this thread, then they waive the right to use that identical argument in the future. This sounds perfectly natural to me. I do not see this enormous injustice in holding people accountable for the things they say. It's not like I'll send them parrot heads in the mail or make threatening phone calls.
Selective memory and obvious faction bias is the real problem on these forums, but no, I am a grudge holder and a cancer on the community because I want to hold people accountable in a humorous, non-threatening manner? |
I am putting everyone in this thread who is saying that ISG is not overpowered and that OKW need its performance on a list.
Every time any one of these persons complains about allied units overperforming in the future I will requote their posts from this thread, replacing "LeIG" with <<allied unit they are complaining about>>.
Maybe this will teach them the elements of logic. |
Either disable recrewment until fixed completely, or maybe, dunno, add a fuel cost to recrewing abandoned tanks equal to 50% of the unit's original cost (only if tank was abandoned, not if US squad bailed out of it of course).
Or add a crit "Tank disabled" resistant to superglue that goes away at 100%. |
The only thing that makes rifle company OP is people stupid enough to not move away from green cover vs flamers Why do people act as if all the other riflemen in the squad drop their rifle just because the lead guy has a flamer? Those 4 leftover Garands will be more than happy to say hello to the squad you just removed from green cover.
Rear Echelons with flamers would be OP, because they are spammable, cost very little popcap, cause almost no MP drain, are cheap to reinforce and replace, and would leave your vetted riflemen a free weapons slot. I fear it would exacerbate, not fix, the existing situation. |
Is this different+ from any other mortar? If they are all one and the same in your mind, you are saying you wouldn't mind swapping the LeIG with 82mm then? |
Johhny, what if I play Soviets and US and in fact have no emplacements. Are you saying the LeIG is magically unable to fire at my troops and supress them from mortar range with zero micro requirement?
I suppose I just want an "I win button", huh. I'm such a noob. |
