alright folks... the amount of screeching about panthers being trolled by AECs and tears concerning the jackson can be decided here... does the majority think the panther is fine or does it need a buff?

panther = fine

Jackson, and firefly in mod = not fine

Jackson price could've easily been 150F, same with FF. I didn't see a reason for the FF buff.

the jackson needs to be 155 while the FF needs to be 145 imo... the FF really isnt that great in terms of DPS and is much slower than the jackson

These same people are losing IR STG obers to combat engineers without a flamer.

There are times that I wish the MG's were a little better but overall they seem okay.

no is not
panther does not scale well late games.
need a better vet bonus to deal with allies high armor tanks.

either like i suggest, improve rear armor to give better rng against med tanks stray shots

or some hvap rounds or offensive combat blitz to pen high armor allies.

The panther is busted and needs a small health pool reduction. 5 hits maybe. In team games two or more can easily dive with no repercussions.

As long as you still keep the hobby of facing your enemies with rear armor, your panther will still be troll by event UKF sniper, no matter how much buff it get.

having the best core medium ingame isnt gonna be enough for you if your panther constantly gets faceplanted by AECs...

as i said at this point there is nothing the balance team can do to help you... go to the state office and ask people how to use the panther properly or better yet go to youtube...

It's a fast tank with great armor, 50 range, high penetration, an escape button and durability boost with veterancy, and another escape button with doctrines. As far as I am concerned it's the pinnacle of turreted tank hunters and if you lose one it's your fault. It's not like a Firefly or Jackson where you can lose it because you took your eyes off it for a few seconds, you'd have to leave it out of position and unsupported to lose it even close to as quickly.

That's not even mathematically possible  must be some serious big brain plays from those combat engineers

To be fair, panthers are 3 exact things:
Tough (quite durable for any medium/light heavy standard)
Fast (Even faster with blitz)
Good AT (effective though not efficient)

That exact combination of perks makes somewhat easy to keep panthers alive and use them as kiters to gain XP

IMO panthers should be more static oriented tanks, not because i want the low IQ players to abuse it but because its not fair to have such durability paired with mobility. Panther design should mimic the current design of KT orfireflies.
The main change is an axis player will not overextend with panthers, if they do they get really punished for it.

The back/forth fights on the fontlines should be performed by stugsIII, again IMO.
