Should the King Tiger be a standard OKW unit?

There is so many "lower tier" vehicles that are very interesting and could be used instead.
However, unit such as KT as stock just can't be more viable option then any other stock armor for the relative cost.

In addition to the terrible scatter, and the very slow speed, the King Tiger also has an absolutely afwul turret rotation speed that I think is actually it's worst aspect.

Lets just hope that if there will be CoH3, Relic will drop that MUH PONZOR megalomania and stops trying to implement biggest vehicles possible - they aren't most interesting ones, they are just the biggest.

I hope your distaste for the biggest vehicles also applies to the Soviets and not just the Panzers, as if they are the only big vehicles in COH2.
I do however very strongly agree that there should be more lighter vehicles in the game, like a regular Hetzer, the various British cruiser tanks, the M3 Lee, the T-26, the BT-7, and of course the Panzer 3, and many more different half tracks and armored cars.

KT, Tiger/TA, ELE, JT, ISU152, IS2, Churchill/Crocodile. Think of them not how they are now, more so how they were on their pinnacle and how they defined the game.

Oh absolutely.
There is a crapload of very interesting, specialist light and medium vehicles that could be used instead.

OKW pay a steep price for the KT but at the same time it's not doctrinal so it cannot be made as effective as a doctrinal unit, however many paywalls you put it behind with which I agree.
Simplest thing that could be probably done is to shove it in a doctrine and shuffle around the rest of the OKW Heavies (Command Panther, JT, Sturmtiger and maybe even the Tiger, if it fits).
Special Operations and Breakthrough are in need of a revamp anyhow, Elite Armor could sustain a simple replacement for it's Sturmtiger, same goes for Strategic Reserves, KT would probably fit in more with the theme than the Tiger anyhow.
Then a simple look at the rest of the balance of the Army would be needed and everybody would be happy, OKW might not have so much crappy team weapons anymore, KT would be good and doctrinal and not as often seen (in team games at least).

Even doctrinal it would still be the same as today.
You can't balance equally two factions on the game length to suddenly give a Super Tool to one of them and nothing equivalent to the other one at the same time.

You don't need an equivalent, you just need something that is able to counter the unit, and all Allies have good TDs for that reason and two of them a decent AT gun. Allies also don't have an equivalent to Panther and Brummbär and there's no problem since they have counters.
A unit being strong does not break the game. The problem just arises when it is made so strong that the forst appearance will completely break the enemy and/or the unit is not effectively counterable.

My suggestions would be:
1) All super heavies limited to 1 have a timer that goes on cooldown after they are being destroyed.
2) T4 for truck has its cost divided becoming cheaper but being built without the AA that has separate cost (cost could also unlock certain units). Limit to 1 remains only for the AA upgrade.
3) KT is limited to 1 pet T4 truck. Losing a KT mean that one has to built a new T4.
4) Unit is re-balanced to do more consistent damage but wipe less.

As far as I know brumbar and panther have equivalence on all factions with different forms and flavors. But we're saying the same things, King Tiger can't be the one unit army it was before thus keeping its current stats even if put as a doctrinal unit.
