Lynx basically got shafted here. His tech people said they would have a system in place that would capture your official forums name and add you automatically when you got your alpha key. That system didn't get in place in time, and now Lynx is faced with adding 5k-10k names manually. Not a happy situation so please try to cut him some slack!

Nobody's not giving him slack. A bunch of the posts on the first page are people cutting him tons of slack. Lynx has all our slack. I cut all the slack for him. He's slack happy.

Good to see THQlynx is keeping us informed, I'm on page 17 and don't have access. Hopefully beta will be here soon, and this will just be a blip, in an otherwise hopefully good launch for them.

the alpha access form did not point out WHAT info they wanted.. the only thing that was clear was EMAIL.. so why cant they work with em? ppl who used a different email on forum could have made a new account with the ALPHA (email) acc or even steam.. but even relic says their forum is crappy. so WHY went on with the forumnames?... /golfclap yay

Not sure how forum access would make the lag/fps issues more bearable, but yeah I posted within the first 10 pages and still no access either.

Forum access wouldn't do anything about lag/FPS issues but this is an alpha so of course they haven't sorted any of that out yet...

Tha fact is it DIDNT WORKED!!!! I meat all the criteria on registration..., e-mail mach, forum name mach... everything - no e-mail, no access to forum..... just didnt worked at all...

this didn't happen because of thqlynx so i don't blame him i do applaud his hard work in getting keeping the community informed and adding in names manually.
however this automation system was atrocious and the whole system failed thq just wasn't ready to pull this off.

I find it strange that people don't always understand their role in something. This was an Alpha Stress Test. YES, feedback was welcome, but it was not mandatory, nor priority. To all naysayers, here's a clue:
Alpha Stress Test
Its not meant to balance the factions, its not meant to gather our opinions on the new mechanics. They are certainly open to them by their responses, but its an added bonus, not a first-on-the-list. Alpha testing is mainly to test server capacity, and gamebreaking bugs. That's gamebreaking bugs, not "shreks are too powerful". That only comes until Beta stages.
They gave us a chance to get a small piece of the experience in exchange. We have no rights to demand anything of them. Hell, for all we know, the actual updated build of the game was way more advanced, and the Alpha was an October/November version.
