In case you were wondering, the elefant and Jagdtiger are ALSO tank destroyers. Not sure if you kept up date but um.... They too got nerfed for being too potent...

The KT was good at bouncing shells killing shit but it was nerfed

The mortar pit was indirect fire but it was nerfed

Too strong is too strong. That's what nerfs are for you biased baboon
And the Jackson is too strong.


Hmmm...its too bad there are no infantry or crewed AT weapons in the OKW or OST arsenals that could kill something like a Jackson which has no anti-personnel abilities whatsoever. What a shame.

You have to bait the Jackson to kill it with those weapons though. The point is that if the Jackson is well-micro'd, it can always just run away. By the same token, its the best unit in the game at chasing things down for a kill shot

Have you been reading the thread or not? It needs a cost increase if its gonna have all of that going for it

Its better than the Firefly, which costs 155 fuel

You said it has to be well microed to pull off the feats it does...isn't that supposed to be the case with most units?

What does that have to do with whether or not 140 fuel is too cheap?

As I just said its better than the firefly, another unit that needs to be well-micro'd, that also costs more

On equally good level players Jackson have a clear advantage. Therefore proving it can do too much on the right hands.

If you wanted to pull out a L2P issue, it just backfired.

A tank destroyer has a clear advantage over what exactly? Name a unit it has a clear advantage over that it shouldn't.

A tank destroyer having a clear advantage over everything is "fine", if you pay the associated cost, which right now is said to be too low.

Futhemore SU85s, Jp4s, Elephants and Jts are also all TDs, why do they have weaknesses when the Jackson does not?

The Jackson doesn't have any weaknesses unlike the Elefant and JT? What are you talking about? Ever heard of health and armor? Those units are slow, but have insane durability. The Jackson is fast, and can be penetrated by anything besides bullets...

The Jackson needs a price increase to be sure but too many people here seem like they want to nerf it to the ground. Do that and USF is toast

all other TDs as well as any and all vehicles.

the TDs that have long ranges have the distinct characteristic of NEEDING it by being unable to survive if they were closer to the front, those with 50 range are generally more mobile. the jackson has the mobility of a 50 range td with the benefit of 60 range making it very powerful and very forgiving.

The Su85 has insane durability? Do tell.

Mobility and a turret > Durability as if a TD is getting hit in the first place, you've already made a misplay. And Durability isnt that useful if you get outflanked and cant shoot back.

all people are asking is the removal of the moving accuracy bonus or a nerf to speed or a nerf to range by 5

none of this would kill the unit alone, they would just give it a weakness (not accurate on the move, other tank and inf can catch up or at gun out ranges it )

Yeah of course their durability doesn't matter if you get flanked. If it didn't, THAT would actually mean they have no weaknesses...

That's pretty much unbeatable argument, especially considering the fact that comet can see hit targets in FoW AND has stock blitz, so sight range and better speed isn't an argument as well, comet doesn't counter panthers or stugs in any way.


actually a comet will 90% of time win from panther. i tested it. and no, no video sry

What is exactly jacksons supposed to be? They already are fast, durable enough, accurate on the move, high pen + pay ability to boost it, self repairs, has the best support from all allied factions. But its "expensive".

i actually think the firefly is to OP. i think a td shouldnt have a damaging stun ability. even just a stun ability. its like elelpant with stun. its total bs. like you could litterly (if you have2, wich for sure happens) fire one tulip (wich stuns) then shoot and fire second tulip and you for sure got the kill.

but thats the thing.... nothing saays it HAS to be on the move all the time anymore. its as durable as say an su85, but has the turret and mobility TO be mobile. it can easily sit and plink pot shots and run away if threatened, or sit and tank if it needs to (using tank liberally here) its mobility was a trait reinforced by its low durability- its now just as durable as anything (more even due to that very mobility as well as self heal) without any real remaining design reason for the mobility remaining.
