You'd trade bundle grenade for a 2nd LMG34? OKW players would absolutely love that trade. Obers would trash anything.

Yeah... I actually think that change would single handedly kill ostheer (something like a 2-5% appearance rate as opposed to the ~30% current rate), make mech obsolete (since youre now rushing obers), and kill spec ops (since yiure teching flak hq for obers). Funny to think how massive the effects of such a change would be.

I mean, balance team can give them smoke nade but already both ranger commanders have doctrinal smoke (and non doc)so....
UKF commando regiment have OP doctrinal smoke skill but commando have smoke nade too

Although having the ability to get a long range/recon package sounds interesting actually. I don't know if that'd be balanced given that they're so tough though.

Think you're mixing up what i'm saying with your perception. I'm saying just because something doesn't have 50 abilities doesn't make it bad. You're saying this unit doesn't have 50 abilities therefore it is bad.

And it's funny that the OP makes the Jaeger Command Squad look like a broken supersquad when in reality they are -apart from their number of abilities- pretty trash in combat.

More abilities mean more complex which means more micro intensive which leads to more skill gap.
Of course to have more abilities needs to reduce the performance for balance.
