You don't have anytime at all to move your AT guns before the bombs hit and wipe them

They fall far too fast!

Now test the IL-2 bombing run.

The problem usually revolves around each bombing run being dropped closer to the edges of the map

Fragmentation bombs land about second faster.

Which IL-2 run? The AT strafe on tank hunter is much more similar to frag bombs, and I *believe* their arrival time is the same.

You'll probably get a 3 for 2 bargain in exchange for AT Stuka loiter.

Even then if you want to really wipe squads the Gren rifle nade still exists and require no commander.

Vet 3 rangers with thompsons > Anything else.
Found out why on the official forums: on top of the Thompsons great profile rangers actually have a damage reduction modifier so even a direct grenade won't drop a model. Knock %10 off ever bullet too and you have a very strong squad...

180 muni for a chance of wiping a squad isn't cheap. I use it primarily to punish blobbing team weapons or Rifles.

200 muni IL-2 runs should wipe squads aswell... but its alot slower in comparison and only really useful vs static or slow targets

Yeah, now that 400mp cost actually makes sense in contrast to thompson paras and shocks.

And tanks. There is a fair chance to remove a slightly damaged heavy with an Il-2 strike. Fragmentation bombing is only effective vs. soft targets, and those are far more manouverable and suffer less from pathfinding issues than tanks.

They did when you could build them in enemy territory but an already capable starting unit that can build garrisons in enemy territory from the word go is bad design
