Are you f'ing serious? Trenches and booby traps? I suppose we'll have to wait and see how they play out, but this better not be the CoH1 version of those things.

Can't wait for the treadbreaker commander.

Anyone noticed that the Shocks were 0 CPs? I wonder if there are balance changes to go along with all of that.


They said it was a typo, and it is NOT being changed.

Will be interesting that's for sure. Build order 2 x Cons, 1 x Shocks and race for the cut off!

Shocks will still be 1 CP. They said it was a typo, and they were experimenting during the beta.

they said it was set that way for beta testing and it will be 1 cp as with all shock troops

I would be glad if someone could help me with the prices:

German:
- Assault grenadiers (4 men)
- Sdfkz 250 HT
- Ostruppen unit (6 men squad)
- Stug III Ausf. (160MP 55 Fuel)
- Trenches

Russian:
- KV-1 Heavy Tank (440MP 120 Fuel)
- B-4 203MM GUN *FROM LOADING SCENE*
- Forward HQ
- M-42 AT gun
- Booby traps !

Also, are those 4 comms gonna be free for everybody, or just Pre-Or. / CE / DLC buyers ?

all you need as German now is assault grens with 250 halftrack tech to tier 3 & GG, 15 minute games at most

well, IMO these new docs should be free for all, because they are completely new and seem very OP, even if Relic wont decide to make them Free so atleast they should give 7 day test for those docs for all players

I think the Forward HQ was said to be 420 MP and 80 Fuel

Trenches, forward HQs, booby traps, are all straight out of vCoH. These commanders will definitely shake the current metagame up. I'm a little fearful for balance with all of this tbh. Just when last patch had fixed most existing problems. Still, going to be interesting to see how it plays out...
What role would assault grenadiers play that panzergrenadiers don't already cover?

from what i remembered :

- Ostruppen unit (6 men squad) - 120MP
- M-42 AT gun - "something around 200mp" so i guess 170-200

i like that the germans have new units that they can use to capture weapons dropped.

the german clown car. i dont like it much. it feels too op with germans units in it.

trenches should have been russian. i am tired of sanbags.

i like the foward bases and boobie traps. they bring diferent gameplay.

so far i think these commanders should be played and tested in actual combat to see their how they fare.


now what i dont like is that the game is becoming too commander centric. it all boils down to wich units you can call in. i supposed its made to make players buy commanders.

so far i dont know i like the new shiny stuff. i just think some things should have been on other factions.

russians will have lots of trouble now.

Panzergrenadiers were elite german infantry divisions, good in any role ahile Assault grenadiers are very good at attacking and harrassing enemy positions, thye are equipped with MP40's and Relic said they can use Assault ability, same as in coh1

I love most of this, but I'm not too sure about those assault Pgrens at 0cp. The early game was actual pretty balanced, but with these coming out so early they will beat conscripts easily and can only be beat by teching, which takes a little bit form the soviets.

lol Soviet blinkers on. Soviet get shocks at the same CP, there is no issue here what so ever.

The the 4 1941 Commanders will be free for multiplayer (the ones shown off on Thursday).

The Commanders shown off today will not be free.

The Case Blue is just the Theater of War mini pack. The Commanders are seperate.
