Nope, the P4 you talk about is what OKW got in schwerer now.

You're probably thinking CoH1 PE P4 here, which ToW one is(minus ability).


Yeah ok you have right. It calls Panzer IVD from what i recall. But how is this tank diffrent than ostheer command p4 (minus aura)?

For OKW I'd propose a tank destroyer commander, with Hetzers, maybe Pak 40, (double) Panzershreck infantry, access to teller mines and maybe some abilities like Stuka AT support, HEAT shells and passive vehicle detection based on the CoH1 PE doctrine. IMO OKW's lack of non-vehicle AT (Rakettens lategame just die too easily) is one of the faction's biggest weaknesses once the Su85 and Jackson hordes start rolling around.

OKW could also use good/better offmap artillery in some commanders. Breakthrough Doctrine's 'Assault Artillery' would be much more useful if it was a concentrated barrage instead of random deviated shells landing in an entire sector.


So is there going to be a discussions/proposals thread where people can submit their ideas in detail?

This is not my idea, but its almost as good as if it was mine:
A nice commander ability would be to call in an other factions mainline infantry unit, so for example US could have a commander who calls in grens in US uniforms with springfields, but exact same stats and so on...
Technically it could be seen as a sign of symmetrical balancing, but... it really isnt

I was very disappointed by the absence of Soviet paratroopers in the game. From 1941 to 1943, the USSR conducted about 30 tactical paratroop operations (not counting the hundreds can thousands of diversionary parachuting operations). More than 20 tactical parachute operations in the Soviet-Japanese War (about 17 000 paratroopers participated in the operation). But they are not in the game. But on the other hand, the other factions have paratroopers.

For Ost, it would be nice if Relic changed one of the commanders so that it could call in or build a JP4 (borrowed from Okw but with just 3 levels of vet). Going Elefant commander on maps like Steppes or Red Ball every time is getting really stale.

I think it is a shame how Relic made unique models and voice lines for some doctrinal units, yet they only appear in 1 or 2 doctrines, when there is 7 doctrines or more per faction. In CoH 1, when a unit was in 1 out of 3 doctrines, it would still be seen frequently. But in CoH 2 it feels like some could be lost in the tide of doctrines.

This is why I would like to see such seldom units included in the new doctrines.

Examples of such units:
- Panzerfusiliers
- US Paratroopers
- Sturm Officer
- Osttruppen (direct call in)
- Assault Engineers

I just would like to see the old ones optimized. Also some units maybe tweaked than.

US Paratroopers? Recoiless Rifles like in CoH1
SdKfz 250 with more armor (resistent to small arms fire and maybe MG42 facing front)
normal Leutnant Gottlieb from CoH1 :)

noone need a hetzer, stugs are better.

Ost need a faster jagdtank with more range... like the jagdpanther.

That still requires new model and new animations.

Its a little more complicated then LEGO you know.
