One of the Axis units is better than the Allied counterparts. Game is broken.

We've all seen this post before - it'll basically never stop coming back.

I'm willing to bet that even when all 5 factions have exactly the same units with exactly the same stats, there'll still be people complaining. We could be playing Soviet mirror matches and this dragonul dude would still find something to whine about.

"My conscripts are underpowered, your conscripts are overperforming, it's obviously imbalanced!"

Eh, mg42 probably is too good but that's one of those things that are balanced with early game grens being weak.

Not a fan of that sort of balance.

Neither is particularly effective vs Cons and Soviet T2. Zis and Conscript AT nades say hi.

Do grens and volks not have snares? If their "spamming" maxims they will not have too many cons. Would love to see a replay of a recent maxim spam used against you

Maxim is "good" because it's annoying. But it's boring as fuck. The 6 man crew make it durable but the death loop take even that away at times. It's strong but it's not good. Any unit that has to be used in groups is not good.

I wouldnt mess too much with machine guns, they are pretty much balanced compared to other things, probably would look at something else. On the other hand tho, maxim vet 1 ability has little utility in my opinion and should be replaced with something more useful, like armor piercing rounds.

Offtopic a little, but one thing I do think needs looking at is how easily the incendiary rounds kill WASP UCs because the WASP is supposed to counter the 42, not the other way around. Yes you can just run away if the mg doesn't fire for more than a second and a half (since you know he is putting AP rounds) but if youdon't immediately do so the UC is lost since it dies in like 1.3 bursts. It might just be an issue with the WASP though. Maybe extend the range on the WASP a little or give it more health.

My solution: Switch MG42 to OKW (but reduce supression to MG34 level and change price to MG34-level, but give slight increase too damage), give OST MG34 with old MG42 stats/price except nerf supression but therefore give Gren timed supression ability at Vet1 (like Obers but without limit to 1 targeted squad, Medikits only for Pioneers). This would also have the bonus of faction uniqueness + historical accuracy (Ending ahistorical nuisances like late game German army(OKW) using the older MG34, the MG34 being cheaper than the mass-produced/more economical MG42 )

this is very complicated and if grens only got suppression at vet 1soviet and us would probably destroy OST in the first 3 minutes

This basically says, make the MG42 an MG34 except with vickers damage. Just so many issues with this. Ostheer doesn't need damage, they need suppression.

And then make the MG34 with MG42 stats but lower the suppression.....

Then, give gren suppression abilities which would reinforce gren spam.......
