You can really tell when Pgrens start to hit the field when your infantry goes from never dieing to instantly evaporating. This retardation can't be WAD.

Penal Battalion good, but only with use Conscript merge ability reinforced, for 20mp/model.


Conscript=Vanilla Gren< PPSH Conscript=Vanilla Guards<lmg Gren=DP28 Guards=Penal Battalion <Flamer Penal Battlion <PG <Shock Troopers

This is the simplyfied food chain in coh2 inf battle.

Penal with 20 rfc cost one of the best Anti inf squad in the game, for cost/performance.

most players wont have more than 1-2 pgrens out in a game and they are very vulnerable to snipers, mines, vehicles etc. T70s and kv8s in particular lol @ pgrens.

On the other hand im sure shocks dont do enough damage, right OP?

Relative to conscripts and shocktroops right now they are right where they should be. But Shocktroops and Conscripts could use a good damage increase, and if/when they do that I also hope they buff the PGrens to keep the balance between those units the same.

Snipers, Flamethrower Battalions, Machine guns, T70s, Shock troopers.

Guards do surprisingly well against them because their anti-tank rifles make them dance.

Really, the only unit that gets completely wrecked by them is conscripts... and AT guns.

If they upgrade panzershreks that means they are that much worse against infantry. Can't have both.

Don't pgrens have perfect accuracy on the move? That's really the only thing I'd change. I had a squad of conscripts in cover just get lol'ed over in no more than 1 second by two PG squads walking over them from a road. But I really have no issues with them.

They have MP44's why should they not have good on the move accuracy? Shocks are just the same.

Penals do need a DPS buff so that they totally man handle PGrens at Far range, slightly out DPS them at Mid and lose horribly at Close. Other than that they're fine.

No, penals need an armor buff, and shocks need to be cheaper.

For 360 mp per squad and 45 mp for each member they should pack a punch. Losing PG´s is costly. I personally prefer normal Grenadiers as you get 3 Grenadiers for 2 PG´s and you can use them to better effect on range and with the 42 upgrade.

So I think if Panzergrenadiers were nerfed, I would hardly ever use them.
