Mark Target OP

First, for as much as it can be used in combined arms and teamwork, it's a devastatingly powerful ability that's also incredibly easy to use.
It's also very telling that the almost exact same ability in DoW2 was changed.
Taking extra damage from all sources is an incredibly potent ability and any other abilities that have similar effects should be looked at. It's too difficult to balance for overall, even if it's limited to a commander, it's actually given to a good number of useful commanders.

When either of these abilities get activated, you can use smoke and just reverse, even without smoke if you have proper support, they will struggle to get worth from their ability and its either a T34 or 80 muni wasted and you can repair.
If your out of position with little support, yeah your screwed.

It's only 80 munitions, but with the way Mark Target works is that you could have 1 dinky thing firing on the target, or 3 SU-85s and an AT Gun all focusing on a target.
Then there's the target itself as well as positioning. A P4 will usually die from Mark Target in an even fight situation unless it retreats immediately using cover or smoke.
That loss is a big thing in 1v1, but in 3v3 and 4v4, there may be plenty more P4s and stugs. Then there's the issue of unit preservation.
Or, say your target has incredible armor, that means that it's not taking damage for mark target to increase.
Similar abilities in other RTS games work because those games have always been about units blowing up in scores.

Permanently BannedCould perhaps use a Muni cost increase, to 100, so it becomes more costly as a sure win in smaller, earlier engagements as well as still taxing in later larger engagements.
Another way to change it is to provide an Armor modifier instead of hard dmg increase, to the effect that bssicallly everything penetrates.

- can be countered by ostwind or the plentiful AA germans have
R. killing the plane only stops the vision on the tank.
- needs another unit for it to do something.
- can only be used on a single target.
- targeted unit has a clear visual indicator.
- if its 1 unit it still can be killed before it does it damage (t34) or outmaneuvered (SU and At guns)
- for it to work with great success needs munitions no AA, and a minimum of 2 units.

mortars have smoke for years but only a few know that they can click the smoke barrage to cover retreats
