Hi there!

The map I have the most fond memories of is the Steppes 4v4 map and those times where I was in a deadlock for control of the southern Island. I remember very fondly that my teammate once did a close quarters IL2 bombing strike and it blew up half my army including my vet 3 IS2 :foreveralone: We ended up winning that match by the slightest of margins.

Another memorable moment on the Steppes map was my 9 T34-76s armada ruling the field until it ended up getting rekt by a couple of stugs and a few well places teller mines. I love the sight of those tank hordes roaming around the steppes of Russia.

How about you?

1v1 at Stalingrad is the most memorable map of COH2 .

COH1 dust and stones 4v4 was an outstanding map, could be well played w 3v3 too. ive told mappers before that should be recreated for COH2, would be a big win for everyone

Kholodny Ferma Summer

- good cutoffs
- good mix of long, medium, and short ranges across the map
- a lot of red cover and good green cover placement to counteract it
- wide enough with enough shotblockers that you can get some great flanks
- awesome hedges you can shoot through
- good vp and resource placement to keep them always contested
- game length isn't the same every time. I've seen just as many shutout 5 minute games as hour long slugfests

So many great matches on this map. Easily my favorite, even if it's not the most balanced. The layout's diverse enough that many different build orders and strategies work well. What other map with lots of red cover and close range engagements are you going to see snipers on?

So many memories of blind-firing through the hedges to get kills :hansGASM:

-Balanced map. Doesn't offer any no-brainer cutoffs. Makes you work for your cutoff( High-risk high-reward)

-Every detail is exploitable.

-2 Distinctive sides make 2 different approaches.

-Resource placements are all meaningful.

I'd say Langres in CoH1.

The reason being is that the map was so heavily Wehrmacht favoured when played in fixed positions. This was good in my opinion as it really pushed USA players to adapt and thus created brand new styles of play, apart from the 2 engi, 4 rifles BARs. Plus, in tournament play, playing against Wehrmacht on that map was always like playing against the "final boss" of CoH - it was entertaining to see if the USA underdog could pull off some spectacular strategeic and micro plays to clinch the W.

- Pripyat
- Summer Rzhev
- The Steppes - The early days when 4 ZiS-3 could not destroy one Panther in the side, huge Panther blob, when the Panther was more OP than Comet, a huge blob of Panzer Grenadiers with one Shrek, when 2 ISU-2 was unable to penetrate the Tiger into the back of armor with a millimeter HP. And we won against this total OP

Two great maps, loved angoville from vCoh as well and that adds to the nostalgia. Kholodny is probably the most solid map out there IMO.
