Volkgrenadiers Kar98 is too accurate

Their mid range is somewhere in the 20s, and that distance is too long. For 10 manpower more than cons and grens, they beat the living crap out of the other 2 baseline units.


Not two mention their no bainzer free (no exculsive techinology required) STG44 upgrade, which completely removes the need to build any specialist AI infantry. Their instant flame nade is also another cheese.


With all those feature in mind, I think their rifles need to be similiar to cons, only slightly better.


Reduce thier mid range distance to 17-18/

The most important thing is to make them 4 men. 10 extra mp for a whole extra man? BS.

Also only one bait thread? Raise bait cap 50%. Trolls need minimum 50% received moderation bonus.

HueHue I would seriously recommend the replay forum. You can find it in the forum drop down menu at the top of the page. You can get some good advice and see why certain units feel too strong.

I have to disagree really strongly on this post. Volks are cannon fodder right now with a respectable upgrade that allows them to function in many roles while not excelling in any. If anything allied infantry need to be brought in line by addressing their pick up weapon power increase.

Imo cons feel better vs folks than grens. But tommies look to folks like eat Keepo. I dont think that folks nerf help.

volks balance is fine. they have good accuracy but low damage in comparison to grenadiers. stg44 upgrade might be a no-brainer but is the only thing that really helps them scale into the late game at this point.

also, impossible to challenge your opinions when you don't produce any sort of evidence. current win rates and pro preference for ostheer should indicate that OKW is not overpowered right now.

I like how your idea of proof and actual evidence is "cos I said so, yeah?"
How about the evidence of actual tournament results that show both axis factions in a pretty dire state, mostly because of the double allied killa lmgs and the high received accuracy modifiers being on the completely wrong squads if those double lmgs are deemed legal.

lol well this went downhill quickly. Cons are ok at the start vs volks and grens get better DPS with munis. Grens are easier to wipe and stuff. Give a little take a little.

To tell you the truth volks were worse than cons before and ober where strong but thanks to the troll allys ober got nerfed too much giving okw no ai then they bufffed the volks to decent lvl and make them more expensive they have really bad close range dps only at long range they are strong
Btw what do you mean reduce the mid range distance to 17-18 it litteraly makes no sense

If u nerf the Rifles and Infantery section..than yes..u can nerf volks.

this allie units are overpowered like with weapon upgrades and vets

The k98 is fine it actually the ST44 upgrade that is problematic. The weapon does not follow standard weapon profiles (as other weapon upgrade also do not follow)and increases the far DPS of the unit (although slightly) while vastly increasing the mid and close performance.

That upset the balance against other mainline infantry like riflemen and conscript who are meant to have an advantage in mid to close ranges...
