Grenadier (Being the best versatile unit before the WFA that can provide good AI power and can stall armours with faust) and the Sturm Offizier (The aura is quite good but the Mark Target, if use properly, is a beast).
I really like to try how a Sturm Offizier works around 2 - 3 Grenadiers, but sadly, they are from different factions.

Lutz and Flak Halftrack for some wierd reason. It's so cool to try keep them alive as long as possible, even if it went horribly most of the time with Flak, haha.

Red Army: Guards Rifles, I remember they were my first elite unit to pick from one of the doctrines during the beta of COH2. Man that felt like years.
Ostheer: Panzergrenadiers, I just love the fact that they enjoy yelling at every topic. Plus I enjoy one of their lines. "Oh look, a cute little panzer. Fucking adorable like a puppy, KILL IT!!!"
USF: Rear Echelons, I made a guide for these guys on Steam after the USF's release. At the time, people were wondering what use does anyone have for them since they get screwed over by Sturmpioneers.
OKW: Fallschirmjagers, I just like these guys because their FG42s sound distinct and its really nice to see them run around murdering units from cover before some guy brings in a Scott.
UKF: Churchill Heavy Infantry Tank, the fact that vetting them up allows them to shoot from their exit ports was a neat idea from Relic.

I should put down a disclaimer that I haven't updated the guide FOR A VERY LONG TIME. This was created a couple months after the release of the WFA.

Soviet : Guard infantry ! A powerful unit that can counter early light german vehicle like the 222 or the sdkfz 251 flammen.
OKW : Fallschirmjäger ! Clearly above other. Powerful against infantry with their FG42. they also have a panzerfaust to deal with light armor.
Ostheer : Tiger ! Use it as a can opener to pierce AT defense (even if it's less powerful than at the beginning of the game).
British : commandos. They infiltrate either from houses, or with their glider.
US : major. I equipe them with a BAR and I use this unit to support the attack of 2 riflemen squads. The ability of a quick artillery of a recon plane are useful to prepare attacks !
Btw, I also like the rangers, which are clearly better than the airborne (in my opinion!).
