I would like to see a late war Italian faction with German support units. We shouldn't forget that from mid-1943 parts of the Italian army continued to fight side by side with the Wehrmacht until May 1945. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_Social_Republic |
By the way the Japanese land army had to fight the Soviet army in the final days of WWII. It couldn't do shit against the massive Russian tank formations. |
If they add another axis army then definitively not the Japanese but a third German army, maybe the Oberkommando Süd. In that case we would have a German Army each for the East, the West and the South. The Southern Army could be built on the remnants of the Afrika Korps (some PzIII modifications, the mighty 88 flak gun, Marders, etc), the former Italian Army and the elite Fallschirmjäger troups (Monte Casino). Maybe that would work. |
Sometimes I rage and swear so much that my wife thinks she is married to a complete idiot.
On top of that I often lose a couple of hairs when I rage too much. Then I fear getting bald due to Coh2.
Most frustrating are games where all seems fine with your strategy until one destastrous rng event happens that ruins everything. |
If Relic wants to add another army, then it should be Oberkommando Süd (OKS). I mean the Germans still fought in Upper Italy in early 1945. However they were not equipped with the most advanced weapons. This would give the opportunity to equip them with a lot of captured weapons - e.g. French and Italian tanks. |
In addition to its great mobility, the M26 Pershing comes together with smoke artillery. So in my view the stats for it are ok, since it can either easily get away from paks and heavy tanks or close in on them very fast without suffering a lot of damage thanks to smoke. |
The SU-85 also needs to be looked at. It really underperforms compared to the Jagdpanzer. In fact it should be a real threat to the Königstiger but it is not at all imho. Two SU-76 do this job much better. Moreover the T-34/76 should get back an effective ram ability. At least it should be able to inflict an engine crit to the enemy tank. |
Most of the time the ass grens will avoid attacking the rifle squads and instead of harass all your unattended resource points. And if they just come around the corner, they are also able to take on your rifle squad by using sprint. But you are right, this ass gren / stug E strategy is a very delicate one. |
According to my experience there are still some players out there using heavy ass gren spam right at the start in order to quickly seize the majority of the map. This will eventually allow them to spam stugs E quite early. If you don't have at least two at guns or a sherman / t34 out by then, you're are pretty done. |
