I think there is plenty of content left in WWII to play with, and I would prefer to see this, but could see other wars become the target.

I would like to see some basic elements:

1. Not rushing to fulfill a deadline before your parent company goes bankrupt.
2. Incorporate more of what made COH1 great, and remove the annoying pieces of COH2. (This has been addressed to some degree right now, but starting at the ground level would have been nice).
3. Removal of abilities/content clearly driven just to increase the total number of items in the game or make a cool sounding item (Railway cannon, which functions not like the real railway cannon at all, and is still lack luster).
4. Dedication to making a competitive game from the start, with balance the number 1 priority out of the gate.
5. Addition of basic elements, like key binding, within the game on day 1.

Sea vessels of course. Red Alert had it. Airplanes are fun in Generals but it would be a different game then, where infantry takes a back seat.

Larger Scale

Further ranges, roads big enough for multiple tanks, cover the whole squad can fit in (Maybe even multiple squads), Camaras that can pan further out.

Idk...
I mean, if we take out bugs, optimization, OP and UP stuff, CoH2 would be perfect WW2 game so I hardly see new stuff in CoH3.

Maybe Africa theme or alternative history like single campaign where Reisch invade USA and UK (aka Panzer Corps <444>3)

Sell the franchise off to another company who will do it right from version 1.0.

Imagine CoH was developed by Blizzard or Project RED (The Witcher) :hansWUT:

1.Good Optimisation on the release
2.Good Connection quality and no lags on the release
If these 2 problems are taken into consideration and mostly taken care of on release date or very soon after release, then I dont really care about the setting. Would like to see ww1 though, since this setting gets more popular with BF1, it can possibly get more audience.
I have hope that these problems will be fixed earlier, in dow3

Imagine CoH was developed by Blizzard

Just imagine that cartoony, simplified graphic, potato interface, lack of any sophisticated and hard to balance mechanics, no cover other then maybe hiding in smoke, but smoke is in pre-set places on maps and you can't deploy your own, no suppression, no squads, no ww2 or even historical setting, because someone might get offended and not buy it.

Yeah... I can definitely see how it would look if blizzard would develop it.

I also can't really see Blizzard's style (be it gameplay or thematically) being compatible with CoH's.

CD Projekt RED might stand a chance, though they've definitely never done an RTS in their time.

I see two directions for CoH3. Although let's be honest it's a good 5 years off if it ever comes a all...

Option 1 - Pacific Theatre

-more infantry focused gameplay with fewer vehicles
-light naval play/amphibious assaults
-starts with 2 factions marines and Japanese army. Could be expanded to have a second Japanese faction and a commonwealth faction.

Option 2
Modern war fare set in Middle East.
-more infantry combat with light vehicles.
- helicopters/Airstikes could be called in.
-IMO modern war parallel universe would be great in the CoH style.

Option 3(not realistic)
Gears of war.
- squad on squad and cover system would blend right in with the DoW/CoH combat systems.
- could explore whole new multi level maps design(which could be a higher selling point if done right) with a subterranean and surface system
- never going to happen because relic would have to get in bed with M$. One can dream though.

So basically if we fix everything that sucks about the game, it could be a great game :snfQuinn::snfBarton:

ps: theres still other problems with the game though KappaClaus

Rosbone: @Soheil Relic is in a hard spot. They need players for Coh3 so it hurts their Coh3 sales to make Coh2 even better than it already is. So we are all lost waiting for Coh3 to get finished to our liking.
