Hoping someone can explain this.
I have a guard squad which is in the fog of war, outside of any axis units sight range as you can see in the picture.
Somehow the MG-34 continues to fire at my squad even while in the fog of war. I checked and no Ost vehicle had spotting scopes, no snipers, no cloaked raks anywhere, no fusi flares no recon etc.
I don't understand how the MG is basically self spotting somehow. I tried to take a screenshot about 5 seconds later but my steam overlay crapped out (but it was still suppressing the squad)
Thoughts?
Possible MG34 Sight Bug

Maybe they were in sight for a sec and then you crawled away?

That's impossible to tell without rep.
Either you went in and out of the los, in which case MG would shoot and keep shooting as long as you're in range or that model near sandbags was a casualty, providing vision before it died would be my 2 bets.

The guards are shooting at the mg34, revealing themselves, so the mg34 is shooting them revealing itself, and on and on.
The vision Catch-22. Crawl out of range next time.

Starts too late, where you're already suppressed.
Still tells the story.
You were spotted by the flag before it was decapped, its all that MG needs to open fire and continue until reload is needed.
All units remain visible for short time after being shot at in FoW(when they just went back into the FoW).

I think I know what's going on.
The player deliberately targeted the sandbags, thus causing AoE suppression to trigger.
You can see that it has to be the sandbags since the guards got pinned at max-range ultra-fast by a vet0 MG.
I knew you could use vehicles to abuse this mechanic, but I didn't know it also gets triggered by sandbags

Opposing player is manually targetting sandbag to get AoE suppression triggered. Opposing player saw the location of your capping unit when the area around the capture zone was still visible. Not really a bug, more like using high play features.

AKA the kind of exploits that will never get fixed...

AKA "competitive play", high level in fact probably.
On topic, don't like, all MGs have this problem?
I think the Vickers also had it and a lot of people were complaining about it about, like a month or so ago.
