Don't rememeber Relic saying that Fusilier and Jaegers should have stronger veteracny than Falsch or any other infantry.
Don't rememeber Relic saying that Fusilier and Jaegers are their apples of eye.

Doesnt change the fact that we have Fusilier and Jaegers like this for ages yet no one ever complaed about their vet bonuses - therefore no reason to complain about Penals.

No, they don't need a nerf:

Fusuliers: +60% accuracy, -23% rec. acc., -20% weapon cooldown.
Jaegers: +40% accuracy, -58% recc. acc., -25% weapon cooldown.
Penals: +60% accuracy, -23% rec. acc., -20% weapon cooldown.

Now riddle me this. If Penals need a nerf, why Fuiliers, nor Jaegers dont?
(not to mention huge utility advantage for Fusiliers and Jaegers)
because they are doctrinal and one squad is 4 men so remove JLI and the other take more time to reach vet 5 than vet 3 so yea skmtninh like Penals: +50% accuracy, -20% rec. acc., -15% weapon cooldown would be better

i though vetterancy should be areward, not something that you need to make your unit work properly

those are the fusilier and jaeger's total bonus at vet 5, which are considerably harder to achieve.

at least raise the veterancy requirement if the penal is going to keep their super bonus

(power creep, anyone?)

actually, Australian's math is wrong. the bonus are multiplicative, not additive. For comparsion, his caluation is close enough. penal bonus is actually a tiny bit higher (69% vs 68%)

fusilier get flares at vet 1, penal get zeal at vet 1. Zeal is technically always active but it require there to be death in the squad.

And one is free, permanent and can decap half map with breaktrough tactics. Yet, accuracy bonus helps more to g43 pzfuseliers than a flametrower that needs to get closer. i do think that Penals are ok since they cant ever seem to even damage any vehicle, while pzfuseliers can at least pull it back with the AT nades. Its like Obers should suppose to be, absolutely 0 AT in exchanged of more AI than normal.

they are kinda "Obers" of USSR

With the small exception that they rip obers apart, and cost less.

Eh, I think the problem more has to do with the synergy that you get from the flamer (still would like to see the upgrade changed back to Assault Package).

Either that or sometimes I feel like Penals vet up too quickly where I think maybe increasing the Vet requirements slightly would help to keep them from snowballing too quickly.

With the speed at which they vet up needs to be longer, they get to vet 3 too quickly when compared to lets say fussies and jaegers who have similar vet bonuses

So people are complaining that vet 3 penals (320 manpower ANTI-INFANTRY, requires off-tech)

is too good vs vet 3 grens (240 manpower Generalists, available from near start) and vetted volks (250 manpower Generalists, available from the start)

If anything they should make it longer to get vet 2 and 3, but making an argument that "vetted AI units beat my vet 3 Infantry" is about as stable as "Goliath is destroying my emplacements plz nerf"

If one want to compare Penal and Panzer Fusiliers accuracy one has to look at the whole picture:

Penal are a stock unit that come out faster then PF and is armed with 6 SVT with an accuracy: 70%/65%/45% that
get a 1,04 acc/0,98CD/0.97R.AC at vet 504 XP for every member lost
1.3 acc at XP 1.080
andd another 1.3% at XP 2.150.
At vet 3 the average accuracy of penal squad that lost 3 member and should retreat is 1.26%/1.17%/0.81

Pf come out later since they are CP 2 and come out with K98 and have to buy 3 g43 for 90 which is more then Thomson . Their g43 have less accuracy then SVT to start with and their K98 although more accurate fire allot slower...
PF K98 80.50%/74.80%/69%
Pf G43 63.30%/48.30%/42.60%

PF need more XP to vet 580/1160/2320. At vet 3 PF would have only a 40% bonus raising G43 accuracy at 88.62%/67.62%/59.64% which about the same the Penal with their 6 SVT (vs3) have at Vet 2.

At the end of the day if someone thinks that PF are OP one should ask to be nerfed...
