They propably released that to get DoW2 into peoples minds before they announced DoW3. Just a marketing thing for DoW3..

Sure, but that is still effort put in old project.
And with DoW3 animated trailer, they didn't really needed to put that in DoW2 at all, especially considering the lack of Necrons in DoW3 base.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Relic should fix ALL the bugs first in the next 2 months (maximum) and then, i don't know. Maybe a new faction or a new sigle player campaign!
What about new missions for TOW?

We left off right before the Battle of Kursk in the TOW so Kursk would be the next step.

I support a new German-Italian Army as the 3rd Axis Army.

I also believe there will be a few more commanders to even out the numbers (7 isn't really a round number if you know what I mean, neither is 29 which both Eastern Front Armies have).

And some new balance, yeah.

But considering the failure that was AA in terms of price, I'd say campaign is a possibility but forget about it it being an AA style copy of the DoW Dark Crusader/Soulstorm system.

Didn't we do subfactions in COH1? With the roo carrier and the hellicat etc etc.

I'm pretty sure it didn't work at all. Everyone just picked the best unit and ignored the trash ones.

at OP:
well, for example the optimization. which should have been done in the last year already if i remember correctly. but thats another cup of tea. LUL!

but i can only write it again. italian faction with german commander call ins would be AWESOME. but then we would struggle with the balance for about 1 more year again. ugh..

IMO Relic should just allow the community to come up with material to expand the current armies in a way similar to how they handle maps.

Like, for example, an expansions that adds two nondoc units to each faction and 2 new commanders, all made by the community but published and approved by Relic.
