So you were the dude that posted the Brits are cancer post, right?

Ok, I voted other because I don't even use the Bofor at all, i always go AEC.

Eventhough i must agree that the Bofors are extremely annoying to counter as Ostheer, but I don't think it is all Brits' fault that they are a bad-designed faction, it's also because Ostheer has been left abandoned for too long. Brits lack mobile non-doc arty unit which for aggressive player, building the pit is just not really fun and worth the price. Seriously, I just want a normal mortar and AEC for early AT unit, no Bofor, no pit. (Yes I mainly play 2v2 as Brits, but i don't go cancer emplacements spam)

I've never referred to the brits as cancer.

I agree that the brits need some love.

I mostly play OKW and don't schreck blob.

Maybe it needs a slight adjustment, like a small diminution of the rate of fire as said above.

But in my opinion, the Bofors is practically balanced at the moment. It is far from what it was at the release of the UKF lol.

Personally, I'd remove every emplacement from the game (other than MG emplacements) - so all OKW, UKF, OST, etc. emplacements. However that's never going to happen, I'd say it just needs a slight nerf.

Barrage needs to have slightly less range than an AT gun and it needs a SLIGHT reduction in ROF. The range nerf is obvious (can't hard-counter your counters), the ROF nerf is due to gren squads being tiny, and often getting wiped regardless of what the player does (retreat, move, etc.).

Bofors only real issue is the 80 range barrage countering its counters and possibly its accuracy against retreating targets being too high and punishing flanking attempts. IMO, the mortar pit is the bigger issue here, especially against Ostheer.

Bofors could use a nerf, but people on this forum get way too crazy when it comes to emplacements.

Simply removing or lowering damage on the barrage so it can't counter it's counters on it's own is more then enough. Anything else will make it underpowered.

I voted for "its not fun to play against"

Simply because it isnt. Been saying that about emplacements in general for a while now.

Terrible game play, terrible design.

Anything for relic to get a quick dollar tho

IMO, take out the indirect fire ability and it will be perfectly fine. I have no idea why Relic decided to add that.

Just needs some minor tweaks, like noticable pop increase to increase its cost over time and make it harder to gather army behing emplacement wall. Same should go for mortar pit.

Because, at the moment, without it, the Bofors is totally useless and unplayable.

If you remove this ability, you need to seriously buff others stats ( like range first ), or seriously reduce its cost because it would be easily destroyed by any AT gun. ( which is an >Anti-Tank< gun, not an Anti-Emplacement gun )

We talk about balancing here, not about murdering a unit because you don't want to play against.

AT guns are the counters to most other emplacements and buildings. I know this because thats what everyone uses to kill my okw trucks.
