Nerf Panzerfusiliers

At 290MP and 6 popcap, I think Panzerfusiliers are slightly overperforming and could do with a very small nerf. I'd like to suggest the following changes:

- MP cost from 290 to 330
- Popcap from 6 to 7 (normalizes them with most other line infantry units)
- Gewehr 43 upgrade no longer gives increased sight (mostly just to encourage use of the flare ability)

Umm, yes.
They are way to good for their cost. They have everything, weapon upgrade, nade, snare and are 6 man.

Except their weapon upgrade is outclassed by brens, bars, and 1919s

Except their snare has low pen.

Except they have little received accuracy bonuses.

Since you're talking about dual upgrades here, its 90mun vs 120-140mun.
Not sure what you expected here.

Except their snare has low pen.

Exactly the same as any other snare in game.

Except they have little received accuracy bonuses.

And, next to penals, highest accuracy bonuses.

Pfussiliers right now are what penals are becoming next patch.
When both will be upgraded, they'll be about the same with penals being better vs cover and garrisons and pfussies being better vs light cover, open shoot-outs and will provide more utility(nades, AT nades, flare).

Well consider that they are outclassed at longer ranges by a single allied weapon upgrade. Also having 2 weapons lets them have more DPS by spending marginally more mun. and allows them upgrade more gradually.

But the point of my post was to simply show that PF dont have "everything" like OP assumed.

They are supposed to be outclassed at longer ranges.
They are close to mid range inf with still decent long range dps.
Obviously they won't keep up with LMGs at long range, because they are not lmg squad themselves.

Also, 2 BARs gives you 28 close range DPS and about 10 long range DPS.
PFs G43s give you 30 close range and 6 long range DPS.
Hardly any disparity here considering the cost difference+PFs are getting extra vision on top of it.

And yes, PFs don't have everything, they are amazing inf, my fav axis inf, but they are hardly op, pop cap could be raised to 7 to limit spam, but that is about the only thing I'd change.

I think the unit is designed to recon for Jadgtigers. Removing sight bonus doesnt make any sense.

They are a six man squad. It would be extremely overpowered if they had substantial received accuracy bonuses and it is therefore disingenuous to cite that as their weak point that needs to be offset somehow.

Same penetration but the least damage making the worse AT grenade in the game, even lower damage than the UKF one, that is actually getting a damage buff other AT grenades levels.

Comparing a stock units with a doctrinal units is quite pointless trying to prove Penal are fine by comparing to P.F. is even more pointless.

But I will humor you:

P.F. need to spend 90 munition to come close to Penals.

If you think that Penal are fine and comparable to P.F. lets take the AT grenade from PF (it is quite useless in mode anyway), reduce CP 0, increase cost to 310 and have them come with 3 K98 and 3 G43. Then will see is this will cause any balance issues or not..

Popcap should be changed to 8. For a 6 man call in squad to be at only 6 is stupid.
