Relic. Just make the Hetzer a TD, what is supposed to be. Don't be afraid to give it good stats, just put a high price for it.

Not necessarely. They can test and play with unit's stats before releasing the change so it will be balanced.

It's clearly underperforming for its cost.
The main problems of the flame hetzer are the turretless design, the high xp requirements and its low damage.
IMO it should deal damage like a KV8 at least it has no turret.
Flame projectors got standarised, which means it deals exactly same damage as kv8 + it has an mg. Still underperforming becouse its turretless.

I think JP IV already has that role, and if you want heavier, JT has that. I think it's best as a light TD, kinda like SU-76. 4-6 CP. 75 fuel.

-the flame damage are okayish...wouldn't be against a buff... and it may need a special spray skill that put fire in a cone to go with the doctrine of putting everythign on fire.
-maybe a little fuel price decrease.
what a bit ridiculous is how he get easily penned by ligth anti tank solution like ATrifle
also when he reach vet3 he finaly melt infantery

it cant deal with AT guns when facing them...while a flamer KV kill AT guns easily and has a turrent, more hp and armor...
this thing comes to late and need outstanding XP for vet.
it is killed by any light armor from allies and is slow and has low mobilty

80 fuel unit WILL do much less and SHOULD do much less then 140 fuel one.

it doesnt cost 80!
it need t4!, high 8cp, infitiy xp cost to vet, is slow, less armor, less hp, less dmg, no turrent, less mobile...yeah...it isnt worth its cost.

This thread is from 2016 where the Flame Hetzer was a call-in and absolute trash.
It got heavily buffed in DBP, turning it into a formidable anti-infantry tank.
The problem is it's a formidable anti-infantry tank OKW doesn't need. Once the Schwerer Panzer Headquarters is up OKW has excellent non-vehicular anti-infantry (Obersoldaten) and pretty weak non-vehicular anti-tank (Sturmpioneer Panzershrecks and Raketenwerfers). Buying a Flame Hetzer doubles down on OKW's strength at a timing window when they really need to shore up their weakness.

Its not anti tank gun clearing unit. Do not use it as such and do not expect it to do such.
The unit is perfectly fine and cost effective post the buffs it got.
However bad artisan will blame even the best tools.

man calm down it can be nothing more than a t3/t4 unit... its too well armored for T2.
it had three big problem:
-too costly a pz2 will do the same and be more nimble and can stealth assault
-excruciatingly slow veterancy and low starting power(slow turn slow low damages) vs veterancy bonus being extremely high (almost pz2 fast almost double dps)
-cant frontally tank enough to be a breakthrought unit like it should
the fact that OKW is already quite filled with AI can be annoying and reduce the need to use of this unit but feuersturm commander is supposed to be a situationnal commander
