Why does it cost 320 MP?
Why does the barrage ability cost 60 (SIXTY!) munitions?
It fires 1 shot for every 2 of the PAK and has less armor penetration.
Why? Why isn't the barrage 10 munitions or 15? I thought the tredeoff for its rate of fire was versatility?

Pak is great but the utility of barrage makes zis even better in many cases. Also with some commanders it gets camo just like raketenwerfer while being much more powerfull and deadly.

Camo is bad for long range no retreat gun. Noone ever used it in tournaments.
The barrage is overpriced 2 times minimum and doesnt fit for ATG in general.

I agree that the barrage is shitty ,but the zis don't need it. It is a good at gun.

Data above shows that pak > zis. 50% chance Stun = any tank dead for 30 muni including is2 and 3485. absurd.

People jump to conclusions. He is stating the ZiS is expensive for what it does. When the ZiS came out it was to tackle Ostheer mids and heavies but now it has the buffed OKW variants to deal with as well.
The ZiS is a solid AT but it is expensive considering its penetration on German frontal armor which is its primary role. The RNG on a panther frontal for example is only a slight deterant at best. At the current cost it is too expensive to spam late game if you are facing large numbers of tanks. At the current rate it needs a slight pen buff because of slow RoF.
The cost of 60 munitions IS excessive for the barrage as it currently stands. 2 mines or a demo/satchel charge is a better investment. Buff it/reduce the cost of it to match performance or replace it with something else like a flare for self spotting.

Some people wondering why ZiS has barrage. Answer is easy: ZiS-3 wasn't judt AT gun but field gun. Direct and indirect support fire in one gun. Like a B4 howitzers.
In game it's terrible, I would rather to have M1 57mm than this piece of crap which could be comparable to M-42. The problem is accuracy and RoF which is terrible and vet seems not helping either.

Zis has Alot going for it, 6man crew, the highest pen of all soviet non doc AT and the barrage is actually really great for machine guns if you dont have a mortar (or to use with the mortar) since the soviet have the luxury of not being able to upgrade anything ever since scaling is a dirty capitalist idea they have plenty of munitions to throw around.

Probably could have worded it better but that was my point... That their highest non doc pen is the that of their first and last dedicated AT units...

We must be playing a completely different style because with my flame penals satchel charging, engineers sweeping and mining and guards upgrades I'm always waiting on munitions.
