How much confidence do they have in their redesign if they don't want to tell the community as a whole what it is?

As said previously here, and ever since war spoils was released: the existing system could be hugely improved with a handful of very basic tweaks. Why not start there, rather than with a whole new system, which may be as unpopular.

If they made their ideas on the new system open to constructive feedback and experience from THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY there is more chance of them releasing something decent. And not another system type that no one asked for and may potentially dislike - which could lead to yet another redesign.

As for this thread getting nuked...

Hi All,

Any ETA on when this new spoils system will be implemented?

I fear that if they give duplicates value to where you can trade them in\salvage them to put towards new stuff they will only do so after a wipe of existing duplicates so we all have to start from scratch.

Really? If that´s true, that sucks. It was fun collecting triple bulletins. And it was fun stacking them and making them somewhat effective. At some point it kept me playing. Hope this is not true.

I confirm the validity of it.

im pretty sure they wont do that. implementing a broken system with loads of duplicates and then screwing you because you had bad luck and got those?

if they were really that dumb, im sure i wouldnt be the only one to never touch this game again

Relic already confirmed that duplicates will no longer stack in the new system. So 99% sure all duplicates will be removed.

yes, but will they just delete your old duplicates or will they salvage them? option b) is the only sensible one

For sure they would not delete additional content users had won without giving them something in exchange. If they introduce a salvage option and outright get rid of dupes then they will probably auto salvage your dupes and you will end up with a little coin purse to go spend on whatever your heart desires.

Which will most likely end up being nothing with the transfer ratio.

The people with Ardennes Assault bulletins should certainly get something. For a lot of time several of those bulletins were useless and/or broken.

If they do actually bother to compensate people for all the bulletins they currently own - after hundreds of hours of gameplay. Then there will be plenty of Scrooge McDuck's vault levels of coins.

Well they did enact a 1000 item limit some time ago, so they should have a ball park idea of what the most some people might be able to "cash in" is.

Since I hit that limit a few months ago I've deleted only common dupes just in case they are ever made to have some kind of value.

Quick news found in the internet:

There's a chance to see a bulletin rework in the future, like the mortar rounds in british bulletins.

You can change the brit mortar rounds using diferent bulletins, like phosphorus or flame rounds.

Maybe they will extend that for all units.

No... WP creates smoke, the phosphorous reacts with water and therefore burns human flesh rather nicely. See Platoon ( the film) for a good example.

Incendiary are pretty rare but wouldn't contain WP I don't think. Incendiary bombs are thermite, haven't really heard of mortar rounds as such.
