Wow, thanks Arne. So what's up with Langres? I've always heard that it is biased towards Wehr, yet we saw Allies take so many victories on it (even in G5 tiebreakers) that I thought this complaint was debuffed. It seems that with Wehr realizing it can get away with a huge T1, it has become even more lopsided. Is this right?

Those games we saw I felt the wehr players didn't take advantage of the easy cutoff right outside the northern base. You see them concentrating on the left side more or not making a concerted push for the cutoff. Once the allied base has been basepinned it's pretty much gg tbh. So the answer to your question is that in those games we saw the wehr player weren't abusing the map and playing more passively, maybe because it was a tournament situation. But now players are getting better and more comfortable at basepinning on Langres.

But that was my point. We saw many Allies wins before (SNF S3 perfect example), but we're not seeing any now. Now Wehr plays big T1 and T2-T3 mid, and the map seems even more lopsided (in the favor of wehr).

I've been saying for a while the game is slightly WM favoured at high tier with the T2-T3 and its just compounded by Langres being a WM favoured map anyway.

There is no "best" player at the moment imo. But I would place DevM, Aimstrong, Symbiosis and Fir3ball in a higher tier than anyone else. All four of them have an equal chance of winning against each other.
