What is your favorite commander

Hi there!

Tell us what your favorite commander is and why!

Let's have a fun thread! :thumbsup:

My favorite is Advanced Warfare Tactics :bananadance:

- You get radio transmissions, which tell you right from the start what your opponent is recruiting.
- You get ppsh conscripts that can destroy most infantry up close and can take more advantage of the Oorah ability when rushing in with their close quarters weapons.
- You get conscripts that can repair your tanks, at a pretty decent rate
- You get T34-85s that are just amazing vs armor and infantry
- You get the lovely IL2 strafe of doom, handy for killing snipers that retreat.

There are in my opinion no down sides to this commander and you can use superb synergy while utilizing the commander and its abilities to the fullest. This in combination with decent mine laying and demo charges makes it the best Soviet commander in 1v1 in my opinion. I am in love with it:wub:

Not my favorite but since I´m forced to go for him in almost any 2v2 games: Jäger armor.

- Elefant is self explanatory
- Scopes help your StuGs or create the 222 map hack
- Stuka + Recon does the rest

I love Lightning War. Don't know why it's so underused. I like it even more than Spearhead.
It is though God by command has withdrawn every other throne.
And God is saying 'No. These people will deal with me alone.'

Heavy Cavalry Company

-Mines
-A smoke ability that can be used and does not require research.
-Rangers are a good Elite unit and could make do with their weapons given to them. Oddly enough, if you fully equip them with Bazookas they can actually hit a tank. Their veterancy is also good at making the Bazooka a reason for being used.
-Combined Arms is useful if you have a Sherman or a Pershing around which allows a buff for the infantry and the tanks. I hope I'm right.
-The Pershing is not a good heavy tank like the others. More like and advanced medium tank which allows the USF to have a fast heavy hitter that doesn't have paperthin armor. It's somewhat decent against infantry. However, it can kill them better than a Panther.

Well found out the weakness of Advanced Warfare Tactics. You can't do anything vs Osttruppen cancer spam.

Tactical Support, heavily underutilized but it is so satisfying when you pul off. Salvaging is really good with Crommie horde, cover arty makes the whole area and finally Forward Observation Post is wicked in team game: 150 muni for Strafing Support mean you can spam them ala CAS style.

My most played commanders over the last two patches:
Wehr: Festung Armor, Storm
Soviet: Soviet Reserve Army, Defensive
US: Mechanised, Armour if I feel a sudden surge of tryhard
OKW: Sigh
Brits: Dunno, Brits should be ashamed anyways.

Armor company as USF
Lightning or CAS commanders as Ostheer

If only the wc51 and M3 had a slightly survivability and pathing buff I would use much more the mechanized commander
If only the airdrop combat group wasn't so expensive (remove the ATgun) I would use much more the reco comander.
