then what's you solution, rather than just say no? As it's pretty silly that just by an opponent teching your plane will die or any AA deployment. Which is bull when compared to the magical planes flying from bombed out Berlin to supply the axis. It wouldn't be copy paste eithe if it was one place, and all fuel. Just a change of direction and drop point.

Damn guys, what is with this copy-paste disease that spread around the forums? Don't you have a single bit of creativity? Do you want to play mirrors in coh2? Somebeody should tell relic that copy pasting is not an option in any way as they also seem to be infested with that virus recently...


Copy-pasted RTS, just with small tweaks, are usually best balanced.

I don't mind it being able to be shot down.

What I do mind is inability to use expensive doctrinal ability, just because opponent teched up and nothing more.

They are, but there are plenty games like this. What makes coh series fun and unique is exactly how diverse it is. Btw you can play mirrors in coh2 if you like, go ahead and play instead of ruining possibility of having fun with the game to others.

Problem is, that according to you, it's fun that 1 side can be shooted down, while the 2 cannot.
That's fun, asymetrical design in your opinion.

No, in every post I agree that beacouse of how easy it is to shoot down it is worse than axis one. It should be changed. Changed, not unified. Both abilities should have their own pros and cons and that is what should ballance them. The other thing that should ballance them is commanders these abilities are used in. But not copy pasting them.

Especially as these are 2 different abilities. All they have in common is a plane and fuel, in fact this thread may be the first place where anyone thought about comparing them at all. When you think of it ostheer fuel has as much to do with allied drop as with usf mg drop - it costs manpower and has a plane, same right? Lets unify, will you?

+1, I've never seen that Luft supply was shot down before drop resource on point.
Allied supply drop usually bring down OKW flak-SWS or OH pintle MG42 from armor.


The Luft can't be shot down because there aren't planes at all like the brits Air Supre.

Edit: Simply the planes of Allies supply drop shouldn't be able to be shot down. It's unfair.

Main differnce is that
Supply drop is minly influenced by you and your ablity to hold are for 60 seconds , while russian one give intiative to german player and if he build AA then its over for this ability.

Also agains soviets sowind is higly effective becuase it hardcounters tier 3 and okw get you shall not fly zone with tier 4 most of time if placed well

This ability was designed when wasn't oberkommando .Community agrees that the ability is broken. When Oberkommando started to work? Long time ago . I ask you: what you doing develpers ?

It should drop at least 50 fuel with the current track record... Ive been using it a bit lately in 4v and I think ive got fuel about 30% of the time.. Even vs just Wehr... They have almost as much AA as AT...

A minor trick, the fuel drop doesn't need to be dead center of your base. You can drop it at the far edges of your base to reduce the chance of it being shot down.

That being said, I really don't like AFD's design. The German drop is more flexible (fuel and muni) has a shorter cooldown, and its weakness is losing map control, a natural part of the game. AFD's costs and such are odd, but the all-or-nothing nature of the counter is what really makes it frustrating. Honestly, the two should be mirrored, the German drop is just so much more organic and better designed then AFD.
