2v2 is done

The balance in 2v2 at the moment is the worst it has ever been, by a long shot. Germans have zero answer to any skilled British players, their snipers are borderline invincible. Match those snipers with US riflemen and the game is just hopeless. I've played roughly 10 2v2 games as axis in the last 2-3 days and haven't managed to win out a single game. Admittedly, I'm no pro, but I do have 700 hours in the game and an equal amount in the first CoH, and consider myself a fairly competent player.

Something needs to change, and I'm not touching axis again until it does.

I can't say I'm really having much of a problem. When you say "skilled" players, what ranking are we talking?

This is what´s wrong with this forums. You don´t even concern yourself with what the OP posted. You are just using a standard phrase.

He has some valid points. I also experienced that my 2v2 losses increased drastically since the September patch. I currently can only play 2v2 Axis with a set teammate. Winning with randoms is impossible these days - it wasn´t the patch before.

What do you think guys? Will we see less than 50 % winning rate for OKW too this week? Place your bets!

Are you playing 2v2 RANDOMS or 2v2 ARRANGED TEAMS? This is the big factor.

Ya, I highly doubt OKW will break 50%, id put them more in the 35% range. Ostheer can stand up better, but even then they feel noticeably weaker. When I'm playing axis, it honestly feels like your fuel starved for the entire game, either via tech costs or a literal penalty.

As for my skill as a player, I usually sit around the 500-700 rank, but often spike upwards when I have the time. Generally speaking I win 55-60% of the time. This is specifically in 2V2 Random teams.

Well, Germans in 2v2s may be struggling according to some of the data, but at least 4v4s are balanced now...

I also don't have a problem with 2v2.
I actually enoy it (and also rage sometimes), but after the rage I see that I just played bad.

the main problems i see:

-croc being hardcounter to 2-3 atguns and not the other way around
-croc and hawker typhoons in the same doc

4v4 Feels great at the moment, but 4v4 has always favored armored engagements. And ya, crocs are nasty, but in the games I'm playing are over long before that phase.

The minute Brits hit tier 2, they pump out a few snipers (usually 2-3). These sniper will pick off enough units from ostheer squads forcing a retreat, and OKWs volk squads simply don't have the AI to kill them before the re-cloak. When light vehicles show up, there ability to snare the vehicle at long range means they can't engage the snipers at all. Seriously, who though giving a panzerfaust sniper range was a good idea?

OHey sniper having a 6 second cammo cooldown, British sniper not.... British sniper able to make SC useless. Either reduce cammo time for OH sniper or increase British cammo time. Oh yeah grenade are in need of love. Simple

ummmm im sorry but 700 hours is not a lot, reach around 1200 hours and you can consider yourself an experienced player, all i can say is stop playing axis like you were used to. adapt , or find yourself a good player mate.

Well a winrate above 50% obviously means axis are overperforming.

And yes, I'm salty because of rifle company meta every game I get.

Really really really silly and flamy post.

Name one occupation where 700 hours is "not enough experience". 700 hrs is more than a month straight of playing if you played 24 hrs a day.

Hell even learning how to drive doesn't require 700 hours before you're an "experienced driver".

700 hours is more than enough to be experienced in a game.
