I don't care about "who has bigger ranks", really. Your high rank doesn't show, that USSR is good faction and Maxim is good MG - it only shows, that you can spend enough forces to beat more powerfull faction enemies by weaker faction.
Again, when I say that "USSR is bad", I don't mean, that Axis beats USSR in 100%, so bad it is, of course no. It only means, that playing as USSR requiers from you way more micro, attention and another inner resourses to get win, while for Axis it's not such important.
And Maxim-spam tactic playing, I think, requiers from you a lot of micro. Way more, than for your enemy, which can rightly put MG-42 somewhere and forget about it. It will automaticly cover by fire large area, providing with large arc of fire to MG-42. Or, dig bunker and forget about it too - same auto-stopping your infantry. Less micro, less headache, less skills.
Main problem is - it's not so hard to play as axis, than as USSR. And that means that game is not balanced.
maybe you are juste bad at microing? Or you must panic too much as soviets. |

This explains everything lol
Lol you just rekted him, that dude(or girl) is delusional, cant beleive hé havent played à lot of 2v2 and 1v1 and claims to know shit bout balance. What à fuking joke |
Can you post a replay at least to support your "arguments". I have a strong feeling that you're the type of player who have less than 700 hours of gameplay and cant micro properly... |
i keep getting sync error everytime i start the game(after loading time has ended) . |
So how much gametime do you need then? Do professional and unprofessional reviewers take hundreds of hours of time on this game or do you know better?
You should play at the very least 800 hrs of multiplayer gameplay to actually understand fully what doesent work and what does with the game. |
So 1v1 seems fine, 2v2 and upward are totally broken. The luchs comes even quicker, if you have double OKW they will both get it, allowing them to get both fuels aaaaanddddd GG.
Problems (from a 2v2 perspective, will get worse with 3v3 and 4v4)
- Double Luchs
In 2v2s, these units come at 6 ish minute. They need only one fuel point to get their 6 minute luchs, if they both go for it, they can get both fuels without effort, since their vehicles come quicker than soviet t70 and about the same time as Stuart, yet they can have a shreck out that can deter both allied vehicles once they hit the field. This means double shreck supporting double luchs.
- Double schwere
Once they have both fuels secured and both of them have luchs and volks are piling up in blobs, they both put down their schwere HQ. They can secure teritory, support it with LeIGs and their shrek blobs which are backed up by the luchs. This is pretty much uncounterable.
- Double shreck blobs
They both will go for double shreck blobs, because it is the easiest and best way to support their early aggression and domination, leaving you with no strategic option to counter their luchs play, since you will get confronted by shrecks, which counter your vehicles and luchs will counter your infantry together with the volks blob.
- Double obers
And after both fuels are secured, luchs has dominated, shreck blobs have deterred early vehicle play, you will start to see obers followed up by either double P4 or one P4 and one Panther. Have fun!!
- Double p4
Double P4 come out after you had your uphill battle in the first 11-12 minutes of the game. These are supported by shreck blobs, a luchs, multiple LeIGs and obers. Again, you are reacting too a synergy which in essence is uncounterable.
- Double Panther
If both players don't go for P4, they go for double Panthers. This is simply uncounterable as well, since they are supported by two shreck blobs, whom themselves are supported by luchs, obers and leIGs.
- KT
If you manage to kill a P4 or a Panther, or simply don't encounter anything and hold out long enough, you will face KT, which again you can't counter, since KT is supported by either armor from other player, or another KT, two shreck blobs, luchs, obers and leIGs.
Again, 1v1 is fine, 2v2 and upwards, completely and utterly broken.
Ever thought getting captain/at gun/stuart or even zookas? |
Hello there,
For the record, i have been playing coh 1 since 2008 being constant top 100 2on2 and have 1 month in coh2 so far with a positive winrate.
In one of my first coh2 games, my freshly built panther lost to a full-hp comet in a 1on1 without any inteference from other units, all shots against each tanks front. fair and square. was quite shocked. recently i remembered that particular fight and found a website which contains the stats for the british units:
OKW Panther (dedicated AT-Tank):
Cost(effectively) 490/232
HP 800
Armor 320
Penetration 260/240/220
Damage 160
Cooldown-Average 7.38 sec
Range 50
UKF Comet (AI as well as AT capabilities):
Cost(effectively 500/185
HP 800
Armor 290
Penetration 240/220/200
Damage 160
Cooldown-Average 6.32 sec <====
Range 50
Can anybody explain to me in non-"lelic" terms how the panther, a dedicated AT tank without any AI capabilites except for crushing, can perfectly well loose to an non-AT unit that deals good damage to infantry and is even almost 50 fuel cheaper? they have the same range as well, so you can't even kite the comet. how are people complaining about vet 3 rifle blobs (granted, they are slightly OP) but not lamenting this fact? Unit A, supposed to counter Units like B, has a more than moderate chance of losing to B, which is supposed to be only decent against units like A and B while being far cheaper. what the hell
the same problem also exists between the OST panther and the comet, but with the cost difference being sliiiiightly in the panthers favor at 10/10. the fundamental problem persits even in that case though.
its like a sherman or cromwell winning against a jagdpanzer 4 at long range
total cost of comet is not 185...its 235 fuel including the hammer research. (50 fuel) |
This is why Brits have fuel sinks.
-Weapon racks 15F
-Grenades 25F
-Squad sizes 25 F
-Bofors/AEC 15 F
-Hammer/Anvil 50 F
Ostheer spends the most fuel teching, but they have zero fuel sinks. Likewise OKW gets 1 less fuel per strat point and 2 per fuel point, but don't have fuel sinks either.
A Brit rushing a centaur or whatever only needs to spend 780 manpower 245 fuel, but they're sacrificing weapon upgrades, grenades, larger squad sizes (which translates into 25% less damage on their infantry sections and sappers.) and Bofors Emplacement/AEC both of which have their uses.
Meanwhile Ostheer spend 780 manpower and 260 fuel for an Ostwind and aren't missing anything from their army like grenades or weapon upgrades.
I think over time you'll see people learn to appreciate the importance of stuff like bofors/AEC and how effective they can be. In general any RTS metagame heavily favours fast teching for high end units until the metagame developments. Saw the same shit in Dawn of War 2 for years, only in the last 2-3 has the metagame evolved beyond that.
I don't think anything about British teching should be touched with a 10ft pole. This is the sort of problem that is solved by players getting better at steamrolling british players who don't buy their upgrades in favour of trying to rush an early centaur/cromwell.
thank you, this post should be everywhere. |
pretty bias post... indeed. |
