How can the t34 become a part of the meta?

Could do something similar to CoH1's Sherman 75mm -> 76mm upgrade.

1. Put the T-34/76 back into the Tankoviy building, price it accordingly as a cheap tank that's a little weaker than the Panzer IV and Sherman.
2. Put the T-34/85 in the Mechanized building.
3. In the Mechanized building add a T-34/85 upgrade (Manpower and Fuel cost). This upgrade allows you to spend Munitions to refit any T-34/76 you already bought if you bring them back to the Mechanized building and wait X seconds for the refit to complete (can't move/shoot during refit process, and being fired upon interrupts it). Refit T-34s retain their veterancy, of course.
4. Optional: Once upgrade is bought, you can no longer buy T-34/76s from the Tanoviy building, you're stuck with buying brand new T-34/85s in the Mechanized building to replace any tank losses.

Move the T-34-76 to tier 3. It makes more sense that way considering the tank performs more like a light tank than anything else.

KV-1 should've been in Tier 4. That's pretty much exactly how the Russian's had it in WW2. T-34's combined with KV-1 tanks. Similarly to American's Shermans/TDs.

More consistent damage output would be nice

yes and better accuracy. Most of the times it misses everything that stands at 5 meters distance from it, yet it can suddenly totally random snipe a unit that is at the edge of its viewing range.

For current level of performance of T-34, its cost need to decrease way way lower cuz T4 is expensive as hell, I think its cost should more like 250mp/70 fuel, essentially a bigger T-70 because at the same cost, M10 does everything better (even AI).

This. They could start with slightly buff to its MGs.

I agree with above. IF they don't buff it, at least make it a Tier 3 again where it belongs at it's current performance.

honestly I think it's viable. I would say only a tiny accuracy buff or a tiny reduction in T4 building cost. Buffing a spam unit has a magnified effect so you have to be careful about it. M10 went from useless to terrifying with just a little HP buff.

Romeo is correct, the unit is close to useful, large buffs will push it over the edge. I would like to see its MG's be more accurate so that infantry damage is clearer for the players.

Removal of ram would be fine as well. Would love to see it replaced with flank speed that would give it speed boost of ram and last 2-3 seconds at vet 1.

If it remains in t4, t34 deserves a buff yes or yes. By the time it hits the field has nothing to do in the game's stage.

Given that it comes at a similar time as the Ostheer PIV, it only needs slight buffs given its costs.

I will say this all the time Soviet T4 =/= Ostheer T4, it's more equivalent to the medium armour buildings for USF, Brits, and Ostheer.

I did not say the opposite. But p4 performs way better than t34. That's the main difference. It used to be ''decent'' if you rushed t3 to get an early t34, but in t4 this strat has no longer any sense.

The PIV should perform better though given the cost difference. It's the most costly non-doctrinal medium in the game. It's a 45 fuel difference hence why the T-34 should get a MP reduction to represents its need for numbers and more powerful MGs to make it more of a threat to infantry when the main cannon's on its long reload.

If we really want to make them be a quantity over quality tank, make them get bonuses when fighting near other T-34/76s. A sort of horde bonus that makes lone T-34s weak, but deadlier when in packs than they normally are. So essentially Sherman radio net, but more powerful, needs no vet, but only accepts other t-34/76s.

+2

Edit:

It doesn't fit thematically, because radio and coordination were a problem for the T34 but I like:

One is a target
Two are two targets
Three are a problem
Four are a reason to call for help

if you don't lose them and get about 4 of them... it's can be awesome
and the sad part - it's almost every time you don't get this critical mass

Thing is if you commit that critical mass it will take losses and that commitment had better win you the game because if not you just lost because you just lost all your stuff and fed the Axis vet.

Thing is we are talking something that was becoming obsolescent by 1943 and wondering why it's not so hot against late war armour and infantry AT.

Penetration, Survivability and AI are what it really lacks at this point

It's not about the cost difference, this can easy be fixed -just increase cost and buff t34-. The key is, for what do we need a cheap tank in t4 that is useless by the time it hits the field?
