You think we will ever see this in CoH2?
I could see some interesting maps coming of this, and would look really fresh to the game.
Could be based around the Italian 10th, 1st RTR,Afrika corp, commonwealth etc etc.
Could be a great campaign from Mersa Matruh to Tobruk, and possibly further.
What do you think?

africa corp is long gone in the MP stage of war, COH2 MP is taking stage at end of ww2, so i doubt we will see it. also africa corp dont have much heavies, their main tank is P3.

Africa would be better for an early war themed game, maybe CoH2 if it ever happens.

Would be fun to see technologically impaired axis faction that lacks automatic weaponry and doesn't have stock panther, or panther at all as well as no super heavy TDs or heavy tanks at all.
But it won't happen specifically for these reason, even if it had flak 88.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Your only hope is if they decided to do a campaign based around it since the Soviet campaign was earlier in the war as well. Other than that I see no way that Afrika would even be a possibility.

Well they said they had a 5y plan, and honestly I find it strange to have 3 allies and 2 axis factions.
That's why I think that there will be another axis (italian?) faction to balance it out again.

I probably should have underlined ASSAULT autmatic weaponry, you know, StG44 that didn't existed at any point during Africa theater.
We all know they used LMGs until they puked, then used them some more.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

maybe relic can make some desert MP maps then? with sandstorms and shit...

MP40's were as good as Sten guns IRL, and as for now Commandos are the highest dps unit in game so Relic can give MP40's similar stats, not to mention that if its a Italian/German faction there are also a lot of Italian made weapons to choose from.

MP 40's weren't a common weapon in Africa or even Europe. MP 40's became most wide-spread with the Volksgrenadiers in late 1944 'till the end of the war. Before that, they were only really issued to officers, combat pioneers, various crews, and on occasion select soldiers for assault ops.

1943 Africa could be possible with 88 flak, non doc tiger and upgradeable Panzer 3.
However I would prefer a faction that mixes Italian and German forces based on a late 1944 Italy scenario. You could have Italian mainline units and tanks with German elite specialists. Audio lines could be made funny with Italians complaining about the war and Germans making fun of the Italians.
