Scoped Lee Enfields bug

When my vet 3 Tank Hunter Sections get there auto scoped rifles they seem to do less damage, I asked our savior Cruzz if this was my imagination but he confirmed for that they actually downgrade the squad.
Steps to make > get Tank Hunter Section to vet 3 > enjoy they're being worse then before.

Worse than before? How is that even possible
I've noticed this too. The scoped lee enfields are bugged in multiple ways.

The only stat that is different to the regular Lee Enfield is that Scoped ones have a longer reload (meaning less DPS).
Cooldown too.
Regular tommies get two of these bad boys on vet 3 too, it's not just tank hunters.
Relic moved the tommy cover bonus from an ability to the weapon stats, but forgot to adjust the scoped rifle, so now it lacks the *0.3 cooldown and *0.5 reload modifiers that the basic lee enfield gets.
Plus on top of that it probably should have some kind of increase in stat over the basic rifle to actually have a reason to exist.

How scoped lees work? Death crit wounded squads? Do higher damage? Everything at the time?
They are just Lee Enfields that sound different and do less DPS because they have a longer cooldown and reload

I thought the Scoped Lee Enfields had higher accuracy (or were a "cool" way to reflect Vet 3 higher accuracy?) Or do they have the higher accuracy but the bugged Cover Bonus cancels it out?

It should just be normal lee enfield with shorter cooldown and scoped graphic.

Either way, its most probably not meant to be a downgrade. Completely goes against game design. So must be a bug. Probably leftover weapon data from their in-house value tuning crept in.

It adds up to about a 14% increase in dps, so 7% average per model, but still causes Brens to drop so is pointless. Would happily trade no upgrade here for the Bren bug to be fixed, though merely increasing all of the Lee Enfields in the squad by 7% would technically be a slight nerf but far preferable.
Sooo many cool things they could have done with these and instead it is just a problem. As you say death crits, higher range, snipe ability, bonus versus garrison or cover.. Reload and cooldown aren't even relevant...

I think what happened was Relic team spent all the money on that Beginner's Guide and Faction Profiles infographics.
