DOT = Damage over time

So they increased the time it takes for flamers to deal max damage vs static units, from 3 to 20 sec.

So if flamer damage is for example 100, the the DPS looks like 5, 10, 15, etc. instead of 33 66 100 (3sec)

Someone correct me if im wrong pls :clap:




No, they just made it last longer, they didn't nerf the total damage. DoT damage is per second, or atleast should be, but it's relic so who knows :romeoPro:

I think what theyre trying to say (though I may be wrong) is that flames keep burning and inflicting damage for 20s rather than 3.

Any non infantry flames will basically set fire to the map / building for 20s continually doing damage.

To balance this elsewhere in the notes the damage per second has been reduced (i think) so in the short term they hurt less but if you don't move (or get your mg out the building) the units will take a lot more damage from a flame burst than previous. Its essentially an anti garrison and area denial tool rather than instant killer

I liked the fact that Volksgrenadiers used a "normal" Stielhandgrenade.


Same here, I think the incendiary grenade should have gone to Sturmpioneers.

Question on the flames - it says the longer dot is not on infantry weapons. Do we think molotovs and incendiary grenades count as this -a 20 s molotov would make them relevant again burning mgs out of buildings and denying green cover to grens

I truly hope incendiary nade will have same throw animation and range as lolotov :sibHyena:
After all, you'll find most axis only players agreeing that lolotov is sine, so they won't have anything against inc nade being the same for volks :sibPheasant:

Okay, thx Relic. You have completely sealed off Soviet Urban Tactic, early at grenade against kubel and molotov against mg with these changes.


You don't really need early AT grenades anymore, with the cheaper Special Rifle command you can easily get a Clown Car for Kubel at start and then back tech for Support Weapons when you want need them. Soviets are losing 30 starting fuel but the cost to get both Tier 1 and 2 is going from a current total of 90 fuel to only 30.

Pretty cool IMO because it lets you more easily incorporate Snipers into your build order which can help with MGs too.

I think the ml-20 needs some buffs at this point. It's inferior to the LeFH ine very way. i think a damage buff to 240 or 200 would be a good idea.

The purpose is that now you need to scout for the unit, which makes it harder to use. Before the ISU could just scout for itself and that awards camping.

overall great patch!
i been complaining about 12 popcap for a 80 fuel unit (t34/85) since they changed soviet teching
now it finally can be spammed like its suppossed to be
