Just looks like a bug, somehow he's holding the M1 Carbine and M1 Garand at the same time, with both models being in the exact same place. It does give a passing resemblance to the M14 though. I wonder which stats the game chooses for him to use.

Just glitched stuff I wonder how did he get m1 carbine. I know you can get 1x m1 carbine for 10 mun rifles squad in AA

It did not enter service until after Korea. So no it would not make any sense.

Definitly a model overlap, I can clearly see a seam. Although there is a m1 carbine sidegrade for the Rifles in AA.
