Compare the stats of Easy 8 to T34/85. It will amaze you. EZ8 costs more, but has a gun that performs much worse vs tanks (less penetration, much slower reload) and only slightly better vs infantry in terms of AOE although I think the reload difference still puts the T34/85 on top. It has somewhat more armor(which hardly matters because at 215 nearly every german weapon will still penetrate, might bounce 1-2 out of 10 times) but considerably less HP (800vs640). T34/85 is light-years ahead of EZ8, they fill basically the same role. And when you pit a Panther vs EZ8 forget about it. Panther only costs 110MP/35FU more but DOMINATES ez 8 all day. People say 2x easy 8s takes on a panther. Great so I need to invest somewhere around 760MP/280FU to engage at 490/175 unit?
EZ8 needs buffs. Atleast 800 HP and make gun reload 5.0-5.5 instead of 6.0-6.6. I could see a cost decrease but then whats the point? It would barely be any different from stock Sherman. No one cares about 215 armor vs German universal Uber-penetration.

I was looking at a bunch of stats on coh2 stats and got the SU85 main gun mixed up with the T34/85 main gun.
Still, I think Easy 8 should get some more HP or a slight cost decrease. Not like this thread will matter much now.

It's fine, it has armour instead of health. The Easy Eight's purpose is to fight Medium Tanks.
Compare the Easy Eight's cost to the Panzer IV Ausf. H. It has a bit less armour, but much better penetration instead,

Oh yes they do need buffs, yet not every single aspect of that faction needs a buff. I would rather see it getting a design overhaul.
But the way you are doing it won't get anything done apart from you getting a status on this forum. Perhaps even more controversial than Katikof

Is everything about the USF you're going you say going to hand-me-down quality simply because they don't have Panzer V Panthers, Vet 5 Obers, or a heavy tank? Having played USF significantly, they need small tweaks and adjustments here and there (no need to revamp entire units in the core), but they are hardly what you call them in the hands of a good player. Things like Pershings, Rangers, and Calliopes can wait until the faction core can stand up non-doctrinally with everything that's currently in it, aside from the possibility of adding a T0 mortar.
On the E8 itself and all Shermans, make the .50cal cheaper and call it a day. Maybe boost its speed slightly because for some reason it's slower than the Panzer IV by 0.2, though I don't really notice. Maybe it's the vet 2, but those tanks seem to glide around the battlefield.
