i like going rifle 3x > grenade > rifle > captain > stuart. if ur rifle control sucks youre gonna be in for a bad time.


This is what we need more of, new strats for a new meta.
Instead of my rifle blob, can't blob, nerf MG.

The DhsK is the maxims big brother, same arc and set up time but much higher damage, penetration, and suppression.

Also gets the large arc when garrisoned.

I don't understand why the MG42 got a buff when it was alrady 3 times better than the maxim? For the same price, where is the logic in that?

The logic (as dumb as it is) is Relic didn't release all the changes.

That was in response to my complaint that HMG's can suppress squads in green cover.

Thats not blobbing...


its normal need longer but can suppress after a short time

Osteer HMG42 is just right atm for me, i don't have to retreat it when there is 2 sq, or retreat it and its spotter when there is 3 sqs of USF rifles. however i think HMG34 is still kind weak, it cost same is HMG42 and it is call in. i thought call ins should be stronger with same price or at least equal performance

In some cases I agree, HMG42 is so powerfull against squads in green cover :loco: although the biggest problem I find is when you are playing as USF in some maps, it so painfull to counter.


+That, i had only played axis since the patch.
you need to have a 1 squad advantage and a molotov / nade to counter mg. if equal skill more or less, that's feeling ok to me.

Problem is green cover do not protect from mg suppression in long ranges, that does not feel right and renders green cover almost useless against well positioned ost play, combine it with grens rifle nade and you have a recipe for long range squad wiping.

i think mg could use some damage buff in close range to further devalue head on charge and some debuff to suppression in long range

Allies have plenty of blob counters mid-late game.

Christ even the AT gun can fire a HE barrage...

The DHsK can suppress a squad a lot faster than the MG42 can and has a faster swivel time. If you have good micro a DHsK is better than an MG42, if you have shit micro the DHsK is worse.

And why need it? Idk it hard counters OKW starts by having good performance versus OKW's higher model count squads and having the ability to cause serious harm to light vehicles.



You do know that its really hard to believe anything you say, right?

age alone doesn't make a weapon obsolete. Firearm technology didn't advance that quickly.

The .50cal and mg42 are still being used in modern day armies, and I dare you to say they are bad.

im pretty sure that Dshk has a larger firing arc than maxim, atleast it feels that way, maybe its just its ability to suppress instantly :P

The suppressing units in green cover thing is what really gets me. You can build sandbags or get behind a nice brick wall but it doesn't mean a thing if an MG is in range. I would like to see green cover counter suppression once again so that squads fighting behind green cover can stand a chance when an MG is around.

One other consideration is that with suppression what it is now perhaps MGs in general should cost more than the 240 MP standard infantry do. That way you have fewer but more potent MGs on the field and as a result MG positioning and micro is more important.
