So how long will this bullshit continue?Or you aren't supposed to play smaller gamemodes unless a sov player takes pity on you and lets u kill his 120 mm?Whole doctrine is shit starting from sniper guards and 120 mm iwiper,mark vehicle and t-34/85s.
120mm is the biggest culprit by far making half maps unplayable.

Changes:

- Make the LeFH a mobile non-Doc unit
- Reduce the Panther's cost to 400/160F
- Move ghards to 3CPs
- Fix the sniping bug

How to counter 120mm?

Same way you counter every indirect fire thing ever: stay mobile.

That also means you don't put your trucks in the middle of the map, and don't invest too hard in bunkers.

The 120mm is a hefty investment. If you are able to make it worthless for some minutes after its arrival you just outspam soviet player, its as simple as that.


Its also very important to understand that it's not true that guard motor or CAS are too powerfull. More that most other doctrines are worthless. We don't need more useless commanders: game needs buffs not nerfs.

You know there are CAS coming and you park your SU85 at the edge of map? Seriously?


You know there is a 120mm on the field and you have your units stand still? Seriously?

You know it is comming don't you? Just like with CAS. You know the 120mm is comming so why make static units? Or do you only have brilliant logic like that when it comes to dealing with CAS?

Aerohank, Porygon has a point insofar as OH is far, far more dependant on static weapon play than Soviets are. Trying and spamming Grens vs a good Soviet player will never work, especially once he has discovered the advanced wonders of the sandbags/Guards combo. Not to mention that Grens need to be parked in order to be effective as well.

Anyways, the problem with Guard Motor is of course not merely the 120, its the total package and its synergies, the Guards, the call-ins, mark target, what have you. This distinguishes from other meta docs somewhat, ie. Mech Assault where this comes down to just one element, imagine a less batshit OP StuG-E and the doctrine would be fine.
