Cost decrease on T-34 won't help much. In fact it will make things worse as it will make first T-34 come faster which will cement good early game for Soviets.

But the main problem is that cheap units without late potential are not viable (conscripts, anyone?)

Also, why not just wait for the patch?

+1 Hit it right no the nail.

Maybe upgrade to OT-34/76, which will change frontal mg to flame thrower,

something like 100-120 mu (so you can't spam them), only frontal usage (very small ark), worse flamer characteristics than KV-8, generally - quite bad flamer, but flamer with it benefits. It was one of the most mass produced flamer tank of WW2 - 1170 OT-34/76 and 331 OT-34/85. It will solve - 1.performance against infantry, 2.late game potential, 3. munition float for SU, so you will chose between more mines/demos or T-34/76 upgrade.

This could be a cool way to achieve a reason to even have a T34 late game. I really think that a lot of problem with unit scaling could be fixed with some good upgrades.

The T34/76 definitely under performs. Compared to the P4 and Sherman it has worse AI (even before the pintle gunner upgrade is taken into account) and worse AT with none of the survival abilities both those tanks have. Sure it is 10 fuel less than a Sherman and 25 less than a P4 but it ends being too expensive to spam and too cheap to be useful as a generalist.

The T34/76's were out of production sometime in 1944, long before the timeframe for the WFA expansion. The T34/85's should be the stock unit for WFA, and maybe have SU100's for call-ins.

I think they're fine in 1v1's, and 2v2's if you have the advantage and want to finish it. If the game goes long then they don't scale well. Maybe if you gave them significant vet bonuses to hit points and damage would it become viable.

2v2 up sure.
And its not really uncommon to see 2 of them in 1v1s.

It's original ROF, to a time it still wasn't popular. Or make other changes to make it better *beard scratch* yep that sounds better still.

The T34 has been popular several times in the past, just not in insane modes like 3v3 and 4v4. The original ROF would give it a good increase in DPS and a small price drop would go well with....

Damn you NDA! *shakes fist!*

2 times.

1) At the start of the game, where both IS-2 and T34/85 was a waste of resources.

2) When industry was at its prime.

And thats pretty much it.
Every single other time you've seen it was "because its stupid to go for same late game tier as dual sov" or someone did T-70 rush so he was forced for 34/76.

The T34's viability in smaller game modes is much larger because the late game is more delayed. The T34 doesn't really have any huge issues dealing with enemy mediums, it's problem is heavy tanks.

It being cheaper, and having a better ROF seems appropriate in light of the upcoming fun.

Permanently Banned
The T-34 needing to be buffed is not the main issue, it's the fact that Soviet T3 lacks any kind of serious counter to Axis heavy armour, and thus the player must often use large formations of T-34s as a counter -which tend to melt away due to the T-34 having relatively terrible armour in (Company of Heroes 2).

A vCoH style system would enable us to purchase a global upgrade for our T-34s that would fit them with the 85mm gun, but alas, that'll never happen -a more radical approach for shaking up the Soviet tech tree is what has been taken.

it is not so fun when someone from this site staff make fun of other´s opinion, really not fun at all, even if he is right.....

staff should show us the way to go here, and this is not the best way in my opinion.

Wher t3 allows you to support your heavy tanks with good mobile force, that can cause some damage and cant be beaten by 3 shrecks (because allies only have a partizan with it :D).

Go t3 and t4? I better wait for IS-2 or ISU for the same price. (240 fuel? oh yeeeeeeah)

Cause Sov T3 dont allow you to support your heavy tank with a good mobile force ? are you really that scared of a 4 man squad that if you put 120 man will just suck at AI ?

I am talking about T-34 which is obviously underperforming and I have no idea wtf you are talking about and how its relevant to the topic

Oh and buffing the coaxial and frontal MG would probably help to, that + better ROF and 10 less fuel would make the T34 perfect for it's intended role.

Yeah. Essentially all the "stock" mediums such as the PIV, T34/76 and Short Gun Sherman are bad versus heavies and mostly best against infantry, the PIV stands out as best because it costs the most.

Still the T34/76 does need help.
