significant squad upgrades with special weapons and abilities.
basically all the stuff that dow2 had that made it a lot of fun. this includes eldar.

Nice it should be looked at, could be fun if automatch allowed different game modes.
Unfortunately Relic made it pretty clear that they were never going to split up the automatch que. I just wish they made it easier to set up custom match games by allowing hosts to name their games.

Ski-upgrade on wintermaps for vetted infantrysquads (enabled = can only shoot when stationary, but move faster/disabled = normal movement)

This, the game looks AMAZING when the time is set to night, more night battles please Relic.

You mean blizzards?
On the other hand the interface should be standardized. In EFA we have 'special command troops' and 'new vehicles, press and click to deploy' while in WFA it's just the definition. I like the latter.

When making a map you can implement transitions day-night, different lightsettings , start rain, etc...
I always used this when making maps for coh1, it gives maps a realy nice touch.
Starting at noon slow transition into evening at 20-25 into dark night at about 1 hour, for example.
edit: it´s weird noone utilizes this, it´s such a nice feature to have on a map

The annoying part about Blizzards isn't the reduced line of sight.

Proper upgrades. Would make the game a strategy game instead of a pure microfest, and would drastically improve the stale metagame.

Yeah; I know...it's a nice cosmetic addon for maps, but really adds nothing to gameplay value. I'd like to see reworked game mechanism for night time fights (like reduced vision + accuracy).
