Add some kind of advancend cover bonus system to all units... it would reduce blobing because units in cover will be more effective. (e.g when in cover 8% more accuracy and 6% rate of fire)

Volks are fine as they are.
I can't actually compete with rifle squads if the US player got serious and attacked mid range in a blob duel. Plus the fact USF has a doctrine for a jeep early game...
Shreks on volks are not for offense, just defense. The description on a bulletin implies that when talking about panzershreks somewhere. I can't actually run up and snipe a Sherman tank with 3-4 volk squads, just scare it off.
And it's nice to deal with clown cars. These things deserve a shrek right up the exhaust pipe.

What should they have instead in order not to be very, very useless? Panzerfaust maybe. Like in CoH 1. It was a widely-spread thing for late war germans if I am not mistaken. Not sure if a good idea, though... they may not even have voice-lines to fire a Panzerfaust. But they have Grenade voice-lines so maybe AT Grenades like Fusiliers?...
That aside, I disagree with the person who said they should cost more MP. They represent non-elite Grens, they can't cost more then Grens. It's not the design intent that Volks are elite and expensive. They are relatively cheap frontline dudes, and it should stay that way!

The best way to improve volks is to fix their shitty accuracy and cooldown.
Its called vet5 system.
Volks never were meant to operate alone, much less being the only troop on field until tanks arrive.

Volks must have a vet limit of max vet 3. Currently volks vet 5 with shreks is too much. Only counter is a lucky squad wipe with arty

If stats were available since launch and included all pplayers ( not just top 200). I guarantee the OKW winrate is probably around 90-95% in 3v3 and 4v4, 80-90 in 2v2, and 70-80 in 1v1. While both allied faction winrate would decrease atleast 20% for every game mode.
