If the community does such a good job why aren't there 5000 players playing cruzz's kappatch every day? I thing most people bitching about this game just do it because they think that they are so good at this game or they do it because some very good players do it.

because you have to find it in the workshop (most people don't know about it), install it, start a custom game advertising it, and then have other people who also have it installed be on at the same time and want to play with you.

I think community balance mod would become popular if it had access to the player search and ELO tables. Custom games are a pain to arrange, it easier for people to search games and let the system seemly match similar skill levels for matches.

CoH1 balanced? Yeah no. US vs. Wehrmacht might have been decent, even if it did revolve heavily around a sniper metagame, but the British and Panzer Elite factions were never balanced. Competitive players basically ignored those two armies.

People complain about soviet 2 men snipers. I think relic wanted to eliminate sniper meta, soviet snipers almost always win ostheer sniper, so no boring sniper wars.
