disclamer: i am a 2v2+ player and will try to speak from my 2v2 experience as much as i can because i know 2v2 is more competitive. However, my recent experience of using pack howi comes from 3v3 because i cant find myself to get pack howi in 2v2.

I tried using pack howi many times. but i just cant make it pay for itself.

its 480mp so it is dear to get/reinforce in the first place and takes forever to vet. no green cover, 3 man minimum crew, no retreat... its vet 2 just got nerfed hard.

it is literally double the cost of sov/ost mortar but comes much later and not particularly better. the only standing out part would be if you have a clear shot at the target, the projectile travel time is lower.

your opinions?

Pack howie is my favourite infantry based non doctrinal arty piece in the game. Its amazing.

What were the changes to vet2 btw? I still have the feeling that this thing goes beastmode at vet 2.

Ive had multiple games with 60+ kills in relatively short time. The barrage ability is so good because the shells travel fast and low ensuring kills and higher responsitivity.

It's good but not for that cost, and it can retreat. I value more mortars than this howie.

It lost AT rounds at vet 2 I think.

Changes it needs:

-Reduce MP cost from 480 to 440 (or somewhere else along those lines)
-Slight RoF increase on regular rounds
-Return Heat auto-attack, but tone down AoE at near to reduce instant wipes. It was gibbing even before the formation changes
-Fix the crew reinforce. Currently it's set to 1 instead of 0.5 for its reinforce modifier unlike most or squads and units.

It used to be pretty good until relic halved it's damage in half with the last ninja patch.

If you reduce the cost, he needs to be nerf at vet 2-3. He is cheat at these veterancy. Actually he is useless because he cost 500mp at good only at vet 2. But if he cost like 240 mp, he become cheat.

You should take time off and spend it on catching up with patch notes, balance and stealth changes.

Pack and Infantry Support Gun both suck. ISG is worse than the pack howi. It doesn't make sense. The russian 120mm is 400mp, a call-in, costs less than pack and isg, and is a better overall unit than both these support guns.

Crappy unit in a crappy tier. Its performance is certainly not better then the 120MM or the turbo mortar or the any other Howi or even a Katushya or Werfer. Literally this and the ISG are the worst indirect anything in game at the moment.

Certainly not justified to be in the overpriced Capt Tier and sure not justified at its current high cost.

Can't believe 10 people have voted "Just Fine." Lol this thing was actually worth getting before that stealth change. I used it when there was some heavy blobbin going on and it worked pretty well a couple games. But yeah, I keep trying to make it work again but it's not happening. Sure do wish every unit in this game was worth making at some point in a match. Gets old doing the same build every game.

For its cost and tier level, make it twice as good as a Grw, or just give us a mortar plz, for the love of god. Same with the Leig. These units are senseless to me.

I find the pak howie performs well, but not 480MP well. At 480MP I would expect it to perform better than a 120mm mortar but instead it is significantly worse. You could easily reduce the cost to 380MP and it would remain balanced.

Yeah, the Cpt. is such a slap in the face. 80 fuel for the privilege to requisistion a paint scratching ATG, a t70 flop, and ofc, the abomination in question, the only thing direct about it is your path to defeat after building it.

I found it potentially actually usable, but it's pretty silly it needs to get so close to hit with any kind of accuracy while not being able to retreat and said low far-ranged accuracy makes most of its range absolutely redundant - ain't howitzers supposed to have more range than mortars?

So I'd say it's slightly better than ISG, which isn't saying much.
