Now, what is the point of the unit, and what business does it have sitting in T4? Seriously, what's its point then?

id rather see it recieve a decrease into a rate of fire or damage lowered to 80.
however the real root of the problem is the new cover seeking system that so many of us lauded
The only way to do that would be to use a swap_squad_action, that would replace your current squad with a new one that had a different formation. This would be abuse heaven as that squad would by fully reinforced and at 100% HP. About to lose your Obers? No prob, pop the formation button to shit out three buddies!
Sadly, one of those 'can't be done' things.
EDIT: And that action doesn't even exist in CoH2 anymore! Bwahaha, it's limited to vCoH. #rekt

The problem is that thanks to the new grouping a lot of things are one shotting squads rather easily.
The easiest fix would be to introduce a loose formation button on infantry squads.

well that's out the window. i assume what you mean is that squad formation settings are set in the squad file and can't be changed?

i find the scott to be balanced. its an AI tank perfroming its duty. and sometimes it does do a squadwipe but then again luchs kv8 and the ostwind do the same stuff.

Luchs, KV8, and Ostwind all allow you time to react and attempt to save your squad. The Scott does not. The Luchs, KV8, and Ostwind do not one shot squads, you have to chase them down etc, the Scott does not. They're performing quite differently...
