Just a zook shot or two and a retreat will put a luchs out of commission for repairs for at least a little bit. You can certainly deny the luch's effectiveness by not feeding everything at it in an attempt to wipe it from the map.
To me it's the fact that sturmpioneers are such effective frontline soldiers and also excellent at repairs that make luchs so situationally powerful.

Well, T70 can't be a T34, can it? Besides, I don't think T70 it's that bad against infantry.

Firepower is fine, survivability is pathetic.
Both T-70 and Stuart were better armored then Luchs, yet its Luchs that can shrug off direct, penetrating hit from 152mm shell, while T-70 and Stuart get one shotted by axis equivalents and that is a problem.
Luchs doesn't have price of light tank-it costs less then aa halftruck, it also have survivability of assault gun while having mobility of scout car.
If Luchs is fine, T-70 and Stuart are underpowered survivability wise.

Converted over it costs about the same as the other light tanks. Even then, asymmetrical balance, not every unit is supposed to be a carbon copy of a unit in another faction.

I just think its stupid that Luchs is more powerful and useful vs inf than Shermans, T34/76 or PzIV

People have been playing the Meta too long and need to go back and take a serious look at the T70. It is just as good at killing infantry as the Luchs is. And Both of these are better at killing Infantry then Medium tanks. Thats kind of the point of light tanks.
The luchs having too many HPs and the cost balance is off thats about it. Light tanks should absolutley murder every thing on legs IMHO or whats the point of wasting the fuel on something with such a low shelf life anyway?

How 320hp t70 or Stuart should hunt inf equipped with schrecks? On the other hand Luchs with 400hp vs ptrs and zooks...
The same way I used to do it before OKW released. It takes two Shreks to really screw up a T70 if screened and kept at Max range. Use Recon mode to spot them before they spot you. Go into attack mode. Use reverse and Bleed them.
Escape and repair. Get Vet. At Vet 2 a T70 can just sit there and take it from a Dual Shrek Pgren squad and whipe them.
Axis has always had better AT. That has nothing to do with the Luchs or the T70.

Luchs with 30 kills is something normal. T70 with such many kills is something rare.
Not for me it wasnt. The Luchs can be used more aggresivley and easier because Bazookas and PTRS are trash. Again NOTHING to do with the Luchs. The T70 can get upwards of 50 kills if you keep it alive and well microd all game. Which IMO as a lone tank maruading this is easier to do then the Luchs because you keep it in recon mode. I mean if you LOSE a Vet 3 T70 thats in recon mode you really really really suck.

Reducing OKW's fuel income to simulate fuel shortage, but then also reducing the fuel costs proportionately is self-defeating. Either OKW pays the full price for a light tank, or they effectively have a 100% fuel income (on top of their cheaper teching, which again defeats the idea of a fuel shortage)

But if you guys remember last SNF everybody was up in arms about the T70 map hack and the T70 needing a nerf. Now here we are with a Luchs OP thread. Its kind of poetic dont you think?

The worst is OKW vs USF when USF player went for Lieutenant. Even with dropped AT gun with Airborne, Luchs can just wipe everything cause of pudding Rifle AT nades.
It's really fast, great rate of fire, can flank AT guns without any problems, small target size, stealth mode. Captain can't even aim and fire with bazooka cause Luchs will wipe whole squad faster.
IMO I think its fine, its a great unit that does exactly what it should, hardcounter infantry, ie LT tech. AT nades and an at gun are plenty to deal with a luchs until the sherman arrives.

But this is such a minor ballance issue that it doesn't matter at all right now.
